Supplies before the final battle: light weapons preserve follow-ups, and exchanges need reserved materialsMinor spoilers

A little less Weight may enable a follow-up. Back in town, check exchanges, promotions, mount care, and healing items together.

Before the final battle, test whether lighter weapons allow follow-ups, then prepare exchange materials, class changes, and healing items. Care for mounts separately; character Bond is not mount friendship.

Light weapons can cross the follow-up threshold

Spell uses are running short again, so restore them first. This trip took me so far away that I could not return even for Sunday. Desired town activities must wait.

While choosing weapons, I realized that a small weight difference can sometimes mean one more follow-up. Try the lightest weapon. If Attack Speed becomes sufficient, that extra strike makes a clear difference. Slow characters still need another answer, but lighter weapons are especially worth comparing near the threshold.

Reserve merchant-exchange materials early

Back at the merchant association, I discovered I lacked materials for what I wanted. I should have prepared Paradise Fish earlier. The exchange goods are useful, but without planning I can only look at them.

Money also needs replenishing. Turn in side quests, then see what remains for shopping. Spending it elsewhere earlier leaves you suddenly short of everything when equipment and recruitment need funding.

Check classes before the final battle

Blessings and Pale Raven support are both useful. Pale Raven support can block one lethal attack, provided the Bond level is high enough, and can genuinely save a life in Classic mode. Seeing this reminded me of another priority: take everyone eligible to their certification exams.

Do not wait until battle preparation to hunt for proficiency and licenses. Review the roster, identify who qualifies and who still needs training, and handle that before advancing to the final battle. Check Speed changes when choosing classes too. If the preview shows decreases everywhere, stop and examine the cost.

Feed mounts and distribute healing items

I kept thinking about raising the bird, then realized that character Bond and mount care are separate. You have to feed the mount directly. With meals and final-battle preparation also taking up the remaining time, there is little room to catch up.

The Falicorn care screen shows friendship level 3 and food preferences. The current care target is the mount.

The team also splits during battle. Earlier, strong units and sufficient damage seemed enough. When the distant group took hits, I discovered their medicine had run out.

Check supplies unit by unit before splitting

Inspect every unit’s healing items and spell uses before deployment, especially those going separately. Do not check only the team’s combined total.
