Chapter 9: Mystery at Aurora’s TempleMinor spoilers

Protect your mages in the fog and clear the enemies below first. Remove Cai’s heavy accessory to preserve follow-ups, then finish Zenzele after the smaller enemies or use a chariot’s Shove.

Draft · Updated 2026-10-19

You can replace one healer with a combat unit. At the start, surround your mages with fighters to guard against enemies arriving from several directions in the fog. Clear the enemies below after advancing. If Cai attacks only once with the Levin Sword, check whether his Weight 8 accessory is costing him a follow-up. You can leave Zenzele until the nearby enemies are cleared, or finish with Shove if you brought a chariot. Aurora's Fortify has limited coverage and may not reach units farther ahead.

Remove the heavy accessory to preserve follow-ups

Compare Cai's Attack Speed when changing equipment. A Weight 8 accessory reduces this setup's Attack Speed from 27 to 22. In battle, the Levin Sword then attacks only once; removing the accessory restores the double attack. Take it off first if you need Levin Sword follow-ups to finish enemies.

After revealing the first enemy, do not immediately move your mages up. More enemies remain in the fog, and some approach from behind. Surround your mages with other units and keep enough allies back to protect them.

The party is grouped in the center, with a red enemy visible to the lower right. Keep the back line within your allies' protection.

When two enemies appear behind you, turn back and clear the lower one before advancing again. Do not focus only on targets ahead. If you brought a chariot, use Shove to kill an enemy threatening your mages and free up the space around your back line.

Fortify's coverage

Move wounded units above back into range before Aurora casts Fortify. Units too far away will not be healed.

Clear smaller enemies before Zenzele or finish him with Shove

Approach 1: Leave the boss alive while clearing other enemies. Once Zenzele approaches, attack and withdraw. Have a unit with higher Resistance handle the boss's threat while everyone else clears nearby enemies, then finish the battle.

Approach 2: Finish with a chariot's Shove. If you brought a chariot and can defeat the boss, use Shove to finish Zenzele immediately and end the fight instead of keeping him alive to clear the map.

Leave time to return to town in mid-September

During next chapter's free time, check the entry points for Bertrand's and Talimun's paralogues on September 17 and leave time to return to town. You can plan to return on September 18 to accept them; do not let gathering outside town crowd this out of your schedule.
