Return at level 20 to reclass and prepare

After exploring far outside, I suddenly remembered while considering more training that the characters were already level 20 and could return to check class changes. That meant another trip back. Turn in quests, check classes, train, and restock during the same visit. Handling these before leaving is easier than remembering halfway through.

Money is tight too. Something costs 5,000 to buy but sells for only a few gold. I also lacked suitable gifts and ended up selling Bullion. Give a character you like one gift first to unlock meals, then gradually build support.

Temporary allies and co-op defeat conditions

This time we cooperate with Leda. Her personality is clear immediately: she tells us not to count on her, yet has powerful moves in battle. The map is already demanding, and temporary participants cannot all be treated as expendable front-line allies.

Temporary allies can be part of the defeat conditions

Only after the first failure did I discover that the temporary ally who fell also had to survive.

Recheck the defeat conditions, move that person back, and advance along another route. The protagonist and core team can survive while the battle still ends because a key ally falls. Protect those characters when positioning the team.

Character wishes and route pacing

Comparing their wishes after the battle makes things feel more complicated. One seeks revenge for a father; another wants to save one. Everyone enters with personal burdens. Fighting together before hearing their circumstances makes the routes' intersections easier to understand.

The balance of dungeons and exploration feels right to me here. Each trip is not too long, and different systems take turns in the spotlight. Finish the route you chose at your own pace, then see the others. You need not rush every route from the start.
