Chapter 2: Road to the CapitalMinor spoilers

Castor can hold one side alone, and guest-unit kill EXP is distributed after the battle. Watch for enemies circling toward the wagon.

Draft · Updated 2026-10-19

Let Castor defend one side alone in the wagon battle. EXP from a guest unit's kills goes to your party when you clear the map, so you do not need to take his kills. Have everyone else watch for enemies trying to circle around and attack the wagon. Kill them or block their path; you lose if the wagon's durability reaches zero. Display enemy attack ranges before advancing. If you cannot finish a target and risk dying to its counterattack, choose Wait instead. Chase the thief into the dungeon before the battle to get the Hunter's Bow. Afterward, collect every chest in the sewers, including the Talisman Shield.

Weaken enemies in the thief's dungeon so allies can help finish them

After the roadside event battle, keep chasing the thief at the fork. Fight the extra battle and collect every dungeon chest to obtain Hunter's Bow. Other units risk taking a counterattack in melee without securing a kill. Let Castor weaken enemies first, then have allies attack, or use linked attacks to let them earn EXP. Give the lower-level Peter some attention.

Once every enemy is defeated and every chest collected, return to the rest point to recover.

Send Castor to handle one side alone at the start. He can kill incoming enemies outright, and his guest EXP is distributed after victory. There is no need to force other units into combat just to secure kills.

Castor's ability to kill enemies does not prevent attacks on the wagon. Display enemy ranges before advancing with the rest of the party, and watch for enemies changing course toward it. Defeat nearby targets or block their paths before they deplete its durability.

The wagon is on the right and three party members are on the left. Red enemies ahead are approaching the defenders.

Check the Hunter's Bow's requirements after obtaining it. If you want Peter to try it, deal with the immediate enemies before changing equipment. Make sure he can equip it before relying on it for damage.

Near the end, choose Wait if you cannot kill your target and risk dying to a counterattack.

Check remaining durability in the capital and buy equipment as needed

On reaching the capital, check the noticeboard for item-shop and weapon-shop requests, then visit the shops as invited. Your bow's durability does not recover after battle, so plan further use around what remains. Put off buying shields or gauntlets you do not need yet and save your money for later needs.

Collect the last chest after clearing the sewers

Keep checking for chests after defeating the sewer enemies. Obtain and equip Talisman Shield before leaving. Clearing the enemies does not mean you have found every chest.

Another chest sits against the wall to the right of the stairs at the far end of the sewer room.
