Recommended characters for this class

Playing this class

Elephant Rider halves incoming attack damage while mounted, then uses Heavy Charge to hit multiple targets. Its 2×2 body occupies four tiles. Leave the team a path before charging.

War Elephant Rampage tutorial: during the enemy phase, it prioritizes player units but may attack its own allies if no player units are in range. War elephants and fences remain visible on both sides. (English interface)

Suitable characters

  • Tobias: follow Soldier → Armored Knight → Dreadnought on Theodora's route, then Castle Knight before the elephant in Part 3, continuing high-Strength, high-Defense tanking.
  • Ninae: improve both defenses across routes, master Castle Knight for Intercept, then mount an elephant and add the Promised One's damage reduction. This needs multiroute training and abilities; an improvised class change lacks that preparation.

Training requirements

Unlocks after Segment 1 of the Promised One's story, with exams from Segment 2. Recommended level 35 and Riding C, using a dedicated Elephant Rider exam pass. Prepare Riding early.

While mounted, it cannot evade and uses elephant-specific attacks instead of ordinary swords, axes, or bows. Half damage still costs HP, and low Resistance remains vulnerable to concentrated magic. Check the endpoint and rear/flanks before Heavy Charge so you do not block allies.

Base growth favors HP, Strength, Dexterity, and Defense, with Speed −10 and Magic/Resistance −5 each. Elephant Rider's Path improves growth with levels.

When to use it

Deploy for a large tank and area charge. Narrow routes restrict its four-tile body; start with one elephant, since space matters more than numbers. Learn Elephant Vanguard mastery only if staying: Hit +10 requires being mounted as Elephant Rider and stops after changing class. Do not detour solely to borrow it.
