Hold physical lanes with enemy-initiated Hit and counter bonuses. Armored Knight into Dreadnought is the easiest route. Choose a Part 3 endpoint for durability or mobility, and check whether you need a second shield.

Jasmine: armored counters, elephants, and cavalry options

Jasmine works well when you let enemies attack first, then counter with high accuracy. Her main route is Soldier → Armored Knight → Dreadnought → Castle Knight, with The Eternal as a late-game option for its mastery reward. Her HP and Defense suit tanking, and her personal skill supports counterattack accuracy. Her Strength is low, though, so check whether she can survive and whether her counter can defeat the enemy as two separate questions.

Castle Knight connects her strike-last bonuses

Start as a Soldier, train Spear or Axe, and add Heavy Armor to progress through Armored Knight, Dreadnought, and Castle Knight. Castle Knight itself provides Strike-Last Def +7, with Intercept unlocked through mastery for damage reduction. This direction matches her innate condition of letting enemies attack first.

StageRecommended class and entry levelProficiency and mastery priorities
BeginnerSoldier, recommended at level 5, Renown 1Axe or Spear D; master for Defense Basics
IntermediateArmored Knight, recommended at level 20, Renown 4Heavy Armor E+, plus Axe or Spear C; Strike-Last Def +3, master for Great Counter
AdvancedDreadnought, recommended at level 35, Renown 8Heavy Armor D, plus Axe or Spear B; Strike-Last Def +5, master for Focused Counter
MasterCastle Knight, recommended at level 45Heavy Armor C, plus Axe or Spear A; Strike-Last Def +7, master for Intercept
DivineThe EternalS in Sword, Axe, or Gauntlet; Axe and Gauntlet Hit +10, master for Divine Might

Great Counter improves Attack when striking last, Focused Counter improves Hit when striking last, and Castle Knight adds damage reduction. Every stage contributes something useful. If you want to continue training the same weapon into the Divine stage, taking Axe to S is the more direct transition. The Eternal changes your available weapons, so you cannot carry over the entire package of spear combat arts and armor-only skills unchanged.

Elephants reduce damage but cannot equip weapons

If you are willing to give up Avoid and focus on taking hits, the advanced Elephant Rider can be an endpoint. It halves incoming damage but cannot equip weapons. This makes her a dedicated tank without ordinary spear or axe counters.

Compared with the Castle Knight route, the elephant branch establishes her tanking ability at the Advanced stage. Your choice depends on whether the team needs an armored unit that counters with weapons or a large unit dedicated to blocking attacks.

Ride a Ferghanan Horse on Cai's route

Cai's route also offers the Light Cavalry → Bardinger development option. Reclass into Light Cavalry at the Intermediate stage and continue into Bardinger at Advanced to keep riding a Ferghanan Horse throughout. At friendship level 5, a Ferghanan Horse grants Strength +2, Defense +2, and another 10 percentage points of Defense growth, supporting the stats she needs for tanking and counters.

Animal capture starts in Chapter 5 of Cai's route. Maximum friendship provides a total growth-rate bonus of 25 percentage points, and wild animals of the same species give the same total growth bonus. Raising a wild animal before a rare one appears can therefore still help. The mounted branch focuses on mount growth and mobility; do not assume armor-class-only skills continue to apply on horseback.

Watch both HP and Resistance

At roughly level 40 near the end of Part 1, having HP, Defense, Strength, and Resistance above the route's expected values means the core of her tanking and counterattack build has developed well. HP 50% and Defense 45% are her foundation. Strength 40% is unremarkable, so how much her counters hurt depends on whether Strength has grown. Resistance 25% is a weak point; improving it eases the pressure from mages.

She can still serve as a wall if Magic, Speed, Luck, and Charm fall below this route's expected values, since fast follow-ups and critical hits are not her main source of damage. Dexterity only needs to meet expectations: Expert Counter provides Hit +20 when striking last, already covering a great deal of accuracy. If HP grows poorly, train another record on a different route and use Merge Causality to take the higher value for each stat.

StatHPStrengthMagicSpeedDexterityDefenseResistanceLuckCharm
Personal growth rate50%40%20%30%45%45%25%40%45%

Her overall rating is C: accurate counters, HP, and Defense can support a frontline role, but Speed 30% leaves her open to follow-ups, Resistance is low, and Strength does not guarantee a counterattack kill. She cannot join before Chapter 6 of Part 1, giving her less training time than early recruits. Her strengths are Spear, Axe, and Heavy Armor, while Sword and Flying are weaknesses. Plan her class route around the proficiencies where she already has an advantage.

Once you meet the Bond and Renown requirements, negotiation only requires handing over the requested gold. Complete main and side quests to save money before recruiting her, so you do not meet the conditions only to find that you spent all your gold on training or equipment.

Give spices and sweets

She likes memories of her partner, her battalion comrades, and opportunities to earn money. Prioritize her favorite gifts, though there are plenty of other gifts she likes.

Meet counterattack and armor conditions first

Expert Counter gives Hit +20 when attacking second. Raging Counter+ gives Attack +3 and Critical +10 under the same condition. Both require the enemy to strike first and do not apply when she initiates.

Positioning requires an infantry unit to stand on advantageous terrain and gives Avoid +10 in combat. Armored Combat gives Dexterity +5 while armored; Armored Move gives Movement +1 while armored; Follow-Up Guard has a 50% chance to halve damage taken from a follow-up. The movement skill helps armored units keep up with the team, while Follow-Up Guard only reduces damage by chance. Before engaging, confirm that she is safe even if it does not trigger.

Choose offensive combat arts as follows; all have a range of 1:

Combat artDurability costEffect
Tempest Spear2Might +4, Hit +10
Spike2Might +4, Hit +10
Discerning Blow3Hit +50, but damage dealt is halved
Protective Storm6Might +7, Protection +10 during combat

Her support conversation partners are Eshmel, Buccar, Olympia, and Ursula.

一句话结论

Take Jasmine through Armored Knight → Dreadnought as a physical wall, then Castle Knight in Part 3. Use second-strike accuracy and damage for counterattacks.

She can serve as a physical wall from level 20, with the level 35 upgrade and midgame masteries gradually completing her setup. If Buccar is already developed, you need not build a second full route for the same role.

Training route by stage

Part 1: commit to a shield role without maxing spears and axes together

Follow the armored main route. Continue from her joining class. At level 20, Renown 4, Spear or Axe C, and Heavy Armor E+, take Armored Knight. Hit +20 when attacking second stabilizes counters while durability develops. Her wall role overlaps with Buccar's.

Focus Spear, with Axe only for Hammer. Stop Axe training once she can use Hammer against high-Defense armor, then prioritize exam subjects. Aim for Spear A while training Heavy Armor. Armored Move improves mobility; check whether she has learned it.

Another approach fills gaps across routes. Develop physical durability in armor on this route and Resistance on another. Some use Hunter → Myrmidon with a chariot mount on a Cai side route for Speed and Dexterity. Train these stats separately across routes, then merge.

Part 2: keep countering as Dreadnought and check the whole enemy phase

At level 35, Renown 8, Spear or Axe B, and Heavy Armor D, take Dreadnought. Armored Knight mastery gives Great Counter for Attack +3 when attacking second; Dreadnought mastery gives Focused Counter for Hit +10. Master the classes and equip these skills before combining them with her personal counter bonuses.

The level 35 counter upgrade has two recorded value sets: Attack +3 and Critical +10, or Attack +6. Check your current skill menu; they do not stack. Initiating Combat Arts receive no second-strike bonuses, including Reflecting Dance.

Keep Spear as the main subject and carry Hammer as needed. Check enemy follow-ups against her low Speed, and total every enemy who can reach her rather than only the first fight.

Part 3: secure durability before choosing Castle Knight or mobility

Continue armor or gain mounted mobility
Keep absorbing hits as Castle Knight

After clearing Segment 1, take Castle Knight at level 45, Spear or Axe A, and Heavy Armor C. Master Intercept for further damage reduction. Castle Knight continues her existing armor investment. Great Knight is an option for greater mobility. Intercept becomes equippable only after Castle Knight mastery.

Use Great Knight for mobility

Requires level 45, Spear or Axe A, Heavy Armor D, Riding D, and Credna's related unlock. Recheck Defense, Attack Speed, and usable equipment afterward. Do not count Castle Knight's innate benefits unchanged on the mounted version. This branch also needs a mount and bond training. :::

Another option uses Dragoon for map coverage. Flight helps her reach counterattack positions. It requires Flying C, Spear or Axe B, level 35, Renown 8, and the route unlock. Take this branch when the team needs a flier.

Equipment, battalions, and blessings: main Spear, spare Hammer. The armored main route stays on foot without a mount. Calculate damage taken when attacking second from current equipment, battalions, and blessings.

[[img:jasmine-1|Armored Move says “Movement +1 [Armored].” Jasmine must currently be armored to receive it.]]

Remove mages before holding a physical choke point

Place her in a chokepoint or side path physical enemies must cross. Let ranged allies handle mages first, then receive attacks and counter. Check whether she can arrive in time, survive follow-ups, and land counters for enough damage. She benefits from enemy initiation; her own attacks mainly finish targets or handle specific problems, without second-strike bonuses.

Recruitment

Leda's route has a lower threshold: Renown 4, Bond 2 with Leda, and 500 gold. Other routes differ in cost and timing. See the Jasmine recruitment page for full requirements. Do not apply one route's fee to all four.

On Theodora's meal selection screen, Jasmine's central recruitment box requires Support 3 and shows 2; Renown 8 is met. The diners' Support 1 on the right is a different pair. Read the central box for recruitment progress.

Keep counter bonuses out of active Combat Arts
  • Initiating Combat Arts receive no second-strike Hit or counter damage bonuses.
  • The two level 35 sets do not stack into Attack +6 and Critical +10.
  • Check the actual learning rank and Movement for armored movement skills before comparing with Buccar.
  • Recalculate innate class benefits after mounting.
  • With a developed wall already available, prioritize resources for mages, mobility, and healing.
