Recommended characters for this class

Playing this class

Dreadnought holds the front against incoming physical enemies: Defense growth +30 percentage points, with HP and Strength +15 each. The cost is only 4 Movement and −10 growth in both Speed and Resistance. In Part 3, have allies clear mobile mages before engaging.

Dreadnought certification: check Heavy Armor D and Axe / Spear B at the lower left, and Strike-Last Def +5, Focused Counter, and Movement 4 on the right.

Who suits this class

  • Buccar and Dadao can continue from Armored Knight. Buccar then takes Castle Knight to remain a physical wall.
  • Tobias can take Soldier → Armored Knight → Dreadnought, then Castle Knight → Elephant Rider in Part 3, focusing on HP, Strength, and Defense.
  • Goliath cannot ride or fly, so Armored Knight → Dreadnought continues using his Strength and Defense. For counterattack damage, get Focused Counter first, then take Battlemaster for axe Hit.

Training plan

Renown 8 opens Advanced exams, with level 35 recommended. Requirements are Heavy Armor D plus Spear B or Axe B. It uses spears and axes and has Combat Arts +2.

Let the enemy initiate to activate the class’s Strike-Last Def +5; Focused Counter mastery adds 10 Hit. Both support counters and do not benefit you when initiating. Buccar moves slowly, so deploy him at the front rather than chasing the main team after battle begins.

When to move on

Take Castle Knight to remain a physical wall. Tobias can also continue into Elephant Rider.

You can stay for a few levels to improve Defense, then return to the original role. Movement 4 slows aggressive teams, and mastery improves only counterattack Hit. Do not delay the whole team just to get it.
