An inherited map saves exploration work without choosing your destination. Spending too quickly leaves no budget for the carriage home or training.

An inherited map saves you from reopening routes, but purchases and training destinations still need planning for this run. Reserve travel and training money before spending, rather than discovering a shortfall on the return trip.

Set new exploration goals on an inherited map

I start Theodora as my second route, with the map already carried over. Before, I opened places as I reached them. Now every familiar location is there, and that leaves me with less obvious direction: with so many places available, where should I go first this time?

I want Cleansing Blade, but several places along the way do not sell it. Revisiting old locations does not automatically give this route a new goal. Map carryover saves repeated discovery, but I still need to choose what to buy and where to train.

The queen’s route explains how friendships formed

The queen’s route explains why Bertrand helps during the War Arc. His support previously made the friendship feel sudden. Seeing their meeting and clash now shows how that bond formed.

Combat needs a different approach too. When an enemy has high Protection, switch to magic rather than forcing physical attacks. The queen and her companions fight through mutual support. Her use of Renown, money, and allies also gives this route its own character.

Check training dates and reserve shopping money

Training needs its refresh, and spectating depends on the calendar too. I missed all the earlier preliminary matches; by the time I remembered to go, that round was already gone.

After getting used to Cai, I have not adjusted my habits to the queen's route. I keep spending on shopping and activities, then discover I cannot even afford the carriage home. I must walk back step by step, and cannot train afterward either.

I still want to buy several more books as gifts for Tialla, but searching my belongings turns up only a little Coin. Eventually I have just eighty-eight gold left, making even the fare home a problem.

Before buying gifts and equipment, reserve enough for the return trip and training.
