Playing this class

War Monk combines gauntlet offense and White Magic in one turn. After mastery, fight with Strike and Heal, then cast support magic. Doubled White Magic uses suit fist fighters with healing, Warp, or control spells.

War Monk Anatolia before acting: the class appears at upper left, with Salamander+5 gauntlets equipped. Allies and the blue action range appear in the center.

Who benefits

  • Mu can follow Gladiator → Pugilist → Warrior → War Monk. White Magic A teaches Warp, allowing an attack followed by Warp. Noctula also has a Pugilist → Warrior → War Monk path, with Freeze and Silence for control alongside fists.
  • Troy’s exclusive firearm counts as a gauntlet, retaining fist benefits and healing; advanced White Magic needs more training. Anatolia can switch from Ovate to gauntlets/White Magic for healing and melee. Yang Jie uses healing on kills for sustain while combining frontline fists and White Magic.

Training

Recommended exam level is 45, with Gauntlet B and White Magic D. Noctula is weak in White Magic; physical paths should buy manuals and schedule training early rather than wait until Part 3. Growth bonuses are Speed and Resistance +15 each, Strength +10, and none to Magic. Equipped gauntlets grant Avoid +7. Movement is 5, with no mounting or benefit from the former mount’s mobility.

The same War Monk casts Heal. The bottom shows the spell name and green healing value 27; the HP bars on either side represent the caster and healed ally.

Complete Aurora’s request in segment 2 of the Promised One’s story:

  1. Complete “Rescue Centurio” and restore Aurora’s temple.
  2. Find Aurora on the capital’s lower approach, then accept “Aurora’s Request” in front of the upper-level branch temple.
  3. Deliver 5 Angelica and report back to unlock War Monk. If only one Angelica remains, have Cai grow and fertilize more first.

When to leave

If staying War Monk, finish mastery, attack with Strike and Heal, then use learned support magic. Ordinary attacks do not grant this extra step. After obtaining The Godhand certification, switch to continue the gauntlet/White Magic role.
