June trailer analysis: clues about four protagonists, new mounts, and large-area attacksMajor spoilers
Follow the trailer through motives, recruitment viewpoints, new mounts, exploration, and group attacks, preserving the reasoning behind its prerelease theories.

The June trailer's biggest points are the four protagonists' wishes, new mounted units, and area moves that can cover several enemies at once. The recruitment perspective and continental map also suggest preparation will extend beyond city activities.
A lakeside capital brings four wishes together
The June trailer’s strongest hook is the promise to grant the tournament winner’s wish.
Cai wants to save his imprisoned father,
Dietrich seeks strong opponents,
Theodora carries her homeland’s wish, and
Leda devotes everything to revenge. Four people reach the same capital with very different motives.
Water surrounds the city, and a later map shows a long bridge, suggesting a capital built in a lake’s center. Gods rule the country, while the wish promise connects contestants’ personal goals with those gods.
Recruitment viewpoints and character motives
Earlier footage shows
Cai acting, while later
Leda recruits someone. Since recruitment is not always handled by the same person, I lean toward choosing one of four protagonists at the start and entering their story directly.
Leda holds a lute and may buff nearby allies. If the instrument is a unique mechanic, I look forward to seeing its team role.
Dietrich mentions an ancestral god-slaying sword, adding another secret to his reason for entering.
Theodora demands repayment for her father’s murder, making revenge part of her story too. Whether the person struck down on screen is her ultimate target remains open to other explanations.
Can the new mount cross obstacles?
Training footage shows an ostrich-like mount fighting with a lance, unlike a pegasus that remains airborne. I am optimistic about this unit. Grounded movement combined with obstacle crossing would be interesting.
A later combat art displays striking parameters:
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Durability cost | 8 |
| Might increase | 12 |
| Range | 1 |
That also raises the question of whether it relates to this unit type.
Which exploration goals do map icons indicate?
The world map shows fish, vegetables, cooking pots, camps, and transport icons. Fish and vegetables resemble cooking ingredients, while camps suggest rest stops. Different icons distribute exploration goals around the map.
Stars stand out especially. I suspect they may connect to important story events or special classes. An arched icon resembles a cave entrance, suggesting interior exploration for experience and materials. Preparation could therefore take you outside the city to find activities across the continent.
Long-range shots and battlefield positioning
The bow’s displayed Range is long: I count four tiles, with another shot reaching farther. Easier ranged offense may make individual abilities more important, but I also worry it could reduce positioning pressure.
On the other hand, the trailer emphasizes weapon Range and class matchups. Comparing mage coverage, armored contact positions, and archer reach is the combat aspect I most want to examine further.
Cai’s area move leaves special terrain
Five enemies fall at once. That looks less like a five-target limit and more like those being the only enemies in the area.
Against clustered enemies, an attack like this could turn the battle immediately.
More strikingly, special terrain remains afterward. The move may affect later movement and combat rather than dealing damage only once.
A giant rescue hints at divine factions
A giant attacks a red-haired girl. A glowing lance-wielder descends from above and defeats it with a powerful attack. The editing strongly suggests a rescue after the girl falls into danger.
The green-haired character, temple, and final axe-bearing figure encourage connecting the gods’ factions. Who protects people, and who relates to the god-slaying sword’s target? Their relationships are the trailer’s biggest unresolved question.
