Chapter 1: Theodora, the Iron BastionMinor spoilers

Advance after your companions arrive, and have the queen occupy the objective herself. In the second half, check Earthen Throw’s straight-line target and weigh Combat Arts against durability costs.

Once your two companions arrive, have Tobias secure kills with his axe while Bonaventure handles both magic and Heal. Do not treat him only as a swordsman.

Theodora herself must enter the objective tile in the first half. Reinforcements and another battle follow after she occupies it.

Before using Earthen Throw in the second half, check the nearest enemy directly in front of you. Units in front block distant targets, and a ranged finishing attack can still miss.

If a normal attack can secure the kill, save your Combat Arts and exclusive weapon durability. Misses still consume durability while repairs remain unavailable.

Bonaventure can cast spells and heal

Once both companions arrive, let Tobias handle melee kills. If an axe attack can defeat the enemy in front of him, there is no need to spend extra durability on a Combat Art. Bonaventure has magic and Heal as well as his sword. Switch to the support tab when you need healing.

Theodora must enter the objective tile herself

Your units start in the west. Two enemies stand in the center and northeast corner, with small obstacles dividing the battlefield.

Theodora herself must enter the first half’s objective tile. A companion cannot take her place. Reinforcements and more fighting follow after she occupies it.

The glowing yellow tile in the upper right is the first half’s objective. Theodora must enter it herself; a companion occupying it does not count.

If you want healing experience for Bonaventure, use Heal before Theodora enters the objective tile at the end of the first half. Even if you spend the remaining two healing uses, the second half still follows.

Earthen Throw hits only the nearest enemy in a straight line

After obtaining Earthen Throw, target the nearest enemy in a straight line ahead. Before trying to hit a distant enemy, check whether another unit blocks that line. It is a ranged single-target attack, so you cannot freely pick a rear target through units in front.

Save exclusive weapon durability until repairs unlock

Even after obtaining your exclusive weapon in the second half, you can keep using normal attacks that secure kills and save heavier use of the weapon until repairs unlock. Combat Arts consume more durability, and missed attacks with the exclusive weapon still cost durability. Check Hit before attacking.
