Each route has its own action timer

Switching to another route at the obelisk uses that character’s own action time. The two routes do not share a countdown. If you see over a hundred turns remaining, first check which leader’s story you are playing.

Lure enemies into explosive damage

Explosives scattered across the map deal damage over a large area when attacked and prevent movement. The notice here also specifies:

Enemies can trigger explosives too

The side triggering the explosion takes no damage even inside the blast area. Enemies can use these objects too.

Lure the enemy into range before triggering them.

After Buccar changes sides, the monster begins advancing. Fighting near the enemy formation can alert more nearby enemies. Fall back slightly, lure the monster out, and focus it down. Entering the attack ranges of Leda, Sirocco, and others also draws additional enemies. Their damage is high. If you cannot endure it, focus Leda directly to complete the defeat objective first.

Clear the outskirts and engage in waves

After learning the abilities you wanted from class changes, equip them. Fighting without them makes things harder. Once organized, clear the outer soldiers, lure enemies toward the fires, then have a ranged archer shoot a fire to chip enemies with the explosion.

With two troublesome targets left, stop rushing in; one reckless advance brings everyone swarming. Check ranges, let a durable unit take contact, and keep the others behind. Prepare before advancing, and stop to inspect danger lines when uncertain.

Protect units even in small Classic-mode battles

Random wilderness encounters are no exception. Someone falls, you win, then return to the world map and discover a missing teammate. On Classic, do not relax just because the battle is small. Protect your allies before finishing the fight.

Later, on a map where enemy positions are hidden, stop and wait for them to approach before considering a move west. Do not charge into unseen territory immediately.
