Treehouse demo impressions: combat arts improve Hit, while exploration and mounts expand preparationMinor spoilers
Combat arts do more than increase damage. Establish contact before recruiting, and plan outdoor leveling, supplies, and mount development.

Leave pre-match time for exploration
The clearest impression from this demo is how much happens beyond tactical combat. Gifts and meals in town, dungeons, chests, small encounters, and mount care quietly consume a lot of time. With a deadline for the next match, you really become a scheduling expert.
There are many area effects in battle too, and each hero’s Blaze is more than a reskin.
Theodora,
Dietrich, and
Leda have different tools, requiring different team plans.
Use combat arts for Hit and recheck new health bars
Combat arts do more than raise damage. When a normal attack is unreliable, switch arts and inspect the forecast. The demo shows one selection raising Hit to 91%. Checking Hit before spending combat art resources is more useful than watching Attack alone.
One flying-mounted enemy dismounts after losing the first health bar. That changes the matchup. The first phase was a flying target, but the next is grounded. Recheck class and effectiveness whenever a multi-bar enemy changes phase.

Build relationships with gifts and meals before recruitment
The recruitment screen lists support and Renown and may also require negotiation. One demo target shows support 2, Renown 5, and medium negotiation. Recruiting them means developing the relationship in town first.
The first gift establishes contact, after which meals become available. Prospective recruits also travel outside town, so do not assume they remain in one place. Class changes have separate skill requirements, and exam success is not always 100%. Leave time for training too.

Restore supplies and condition while dungeon leveling
Dungeons switch to third-person exploration, with small battles along the way and materials in chests. Bring units who need more experience to raise their levels.
Battles are frequent, but HP and spell uses do not fully recover after each one. Supplies matter more the deeper you explore. Use recovery points to restore condition when necessary, then continue. Both wilderness and dungeon trips belong in the pre-match schedule. Do not keep pushing simply because more chests remain.

Feed mounts to improve bonds and Movement
Cai’s route allows animal capture, but obtaining a mount is only the start of caring for it. Different foods give different affection gains. Developing the bond improves Movement, while each mount provides different bonuses.
A mount is therefore more than a cosmetic change. Which one you choose, what you feed it, and how much training time you invest affect the outcome. With town preparation, exploration, and mount care together, it is easy to see why this demo feels packed with hours of content.
