Swap positions before battle to prepare for contact
This Heroic Games qualifier on
Leda's route begins in the battle preparations menu. Swap deployment positions first, putting units who will take hits up front, then arranging the rear. Set up both lines before battle.
Although the arena looks like ships and water, it is a battlefield built for the competition in the imperial capital.
Dietrich and
Theodora also take part, bringing several of the main Gladiators into the same match.
The defensive bonuses from Leda’s songs
Leda’s songs can grant different bonuses to allies within range. Here, the first choice is a song that raises Defense and Resistance, helping the affected units withstand the next round.
Then let the enemy come to you. With your formation in place, receive attacks with suitable units instead of sending everyone forward into danger; this is the approach used in the demonstration.
Choose Combat Arts by their predicted Hit
Weapons and Combat Arts serve different purposes, so check the combat forecast before choosing. Switching to a Combat Art here raises Hit to 91%. That tells you more about whether the attack is worthwhile than looking only at weapon might.
Some combat arts add Hit; others add damage. Against a hard-to-hit target, compare Hit first. If just short of a knockout, compare damage instead. Confirm the forecast before attacking.
