Support remains after restarting a chapter

Free time is the main limit on recruiting more allies. Restarting restores the chapter’s opening state but retains support. Use this to repeat weekly meals with recruitment targets.

Unlock guests first, then raise their support with the current protagonist to the threshold. Renown, negotiation, and paralogue requirements remain separate. Recruit after meeting the support requirement.

A first gift opens the guest list

The first gift unlocks recruitment and meal invitations. Megaira’s market in the southern royal capital sells unlimited Saraminian Sweets. Give each target one to open meals without spending your better gifts.

Even characters without support conversations can raise support and gain combat benefits. For unrecruited people, mainly use gifts, meals, and theater viewing. Training and Divine Service are for recruited members.

For targets needing only support 2, give favorite gifts weekly while reserving meals for higher requirements. Activities reset Sunday. Starting in the morning also lets you finish daylight-only activities such as training afterward.

Repeat three-person meals after weekly resets

Repeat weekly meals in this order
  1. 1
On Sunday, dine with your current protagonist and two targets, using every available meal that week. The demonstration uses Cai with Loretta and Diego.
  2. 2
Check the main-story deadline before advancing to the next week. One turn is six hours; a full week is twenty-eight turns. Do not advance past the story deadline.
Return to step 1 and invite the same group. Near the deadline, restart the chapter as described in the next section.

Repeated meals raise both targets from support 1 to nearly 3. Do not assemble three arbitrary companions: keep the current protagonist present to train two recruitment relationships together.

The chapter-restart loop

Farm support before other chapter development

Restarting resets money, items, exploration, and training to chapter start. Finish needed support first, then begin proper training and progress.

Choose Restart Chapter, skip the opening scenes, and return to the inn. Development, money, items, and time reset, but support does not. After restarting in the demonstration, the first meal continues from nearly support 3, and the second reaches 3.

Long free-time chapters spanning several weeks allow more meals per loop and fewer restarts. To recruit and train early, begin as soon as Renown permits, at the cost of more opening scenes and inn trips.

Once both targets reach their thresholds, switch to the next pair and keep dining.

Tradeoffs with other support activities

Support from gifts, theater, and training also remains. Gifts return after restarting, letting you test preferences. To develop more relationships, combine these with weekly meals. For speed alone, repeated inn meals are more direct.

You can also invite other protagonists to prepare relationships for later routes.
