Playing this class

Valkyrium suits casters who need to keep up with the team while retaining both magic types: 7 Movement, healing +10, and magic Hit +5. It does not double spell uses, so scarce spells run out more easily on long maps.

Valkyrium’s exam page: the upper right lists both magic types; the lower right separates innate Mount/Dismount, Magic Heal +10, and Magic Hit +5. Song of Calm mastery is separate, while Riding D and the magic A alternatives appear at lower left.

Who benefits

  • Dante: Diviner → Shaman → Troubadour → Valkyrium for mounted support that follows the team. Use Ovate until Troubadour unlocks.
  • Fianna: Switch after Priest and Bishop for mobile healing, keeping pace with the front and away from rear reinforcements. Her healing has a Luck% chance not to consume a use. A low-investment build can stop here and leave Divine classes for others.
  • Anatolia: Switch from Ovate when you need Silence, Ward, Warp, and mounted mobility. Choose Druid for sustained Black Magic offense.

Training

After restoring Jurah’s temple, accept “Jurah’s Request.” Collect the quest item Dagda Aegis in front of Anna’s shop on Dagsion’s highest level, then report back. Ordinary relic materials do not count. Accept Smyrnos’s request first, then get the ice tome and quest from Jurah to save a trip.

Recommended exam level is 45, with Riding D and either Black Magic A or White Magic A. It uses only the two magic types. Pure casters should prepare Riding through manuals early. Growth bonuses are Magic and Luck +15 each, and Speed, Dexterity, and Defense +5 each.

Mastery Song of Calm is an active Combat Art granting allies at range 1–2 Resistance +2 until the next player phase. Use it before allies engage enemy spells.

When to use it

Stay Valkyrium for mobile support on short maps when both magic types see regular use. For long maps, use Druid to preserve Black Magic uses or Wiseman for White Magic healing endurance. Those switches respectively lose White Magic or Black Magic. The song adds only 2 Resistance, while healing or finishing an enemy is usually more urgent; it is not worth a dedicated mastery detour.
