Reveal trailer analysis: Reading movement, Gambits, and summons from the action menuMinor spoilers
Pausing on battle menus reveals Dietrich's 3-tile movement, Theodora's area disruption, and the allied monster summoned by Leda.

The reveal footage already shows three different tools: Theodora restricts movement with Gambits, Dietrich moves three spaces and can still attack, and Leda summons an allied beast.
Action menus and battlefield information
The arena initially made me wonder whether this was Fire Emblem. Grid movement and battle menus confirmed the feeling. Town has market stalls, the battlefield has a minimap in the upper right, and the left side lists class, level, HP, Attack, and Hit. Pausing on these screens reveals the new game's combat ideas more clearly than watching character entrances alone.
Cai rides an Ornius, while enemies include
Charioteer. The mounts immediately establish a different setting. Some animations feel awkward: the weapon lands before the hit reaction follows, and parts of the modeling and animation still look in need of polish.
Theodora's area Gambit
Theodora's menu includes Gambits alongside attacks, Blaze Arts, and Combat Arts. The displayed Frontal Disruption has two uses, stops targets moving when it hits, and covers several enemies ahead. Consider its area and movement restriction together: holding a group in place lets your team rearrange attacking positions.
Dietrich can attack after moving
Dietrich's displayed Blaze Art instantly moves him up to three tiles across terrain at an HP cost. Afterward, attacks, Combat Arts, and items remain available. The movement does not consume the opportunity to act afterward.
The equipment screen labels
Answerer a Heroes' Relic with 40 durability. He also carries
Iron Sword,
Levin Sword, and other weapons. Where to move and which weapon to use afterward form connected choices.
Leda summons allied beasts
Leda's Song of Summoning costs eleven HP.
and can be used only once per map.
The resulting unit is labeled
Leda's monster, identifying it as her summoned ally. That matters: do not assume the appearing monster is an enemy reinforcement. Her toolkit is more distinctive than the simple dancing and extra actions I first expected.
Later in the trailer, a firearm fires lightning, followed by Sothis's appearance. “You haven't forgotten me, have you?” brings back that familiar feeling, leaving new battlefield tools and connections to the old world in the same trailer.
