Fill six roles first: tanking, evasion, physical damage, magic damage, support, and healing. Then choose early recruits who fill gaps. This Leda-route setup rotates eleven trainees, leaving room for bows, gauntlets, magic, and area damage.

Train eleven units to cover six roles

I do not like turning everyone into the same powerful class. Classes, weapons, and playstyles differ, and balancing performance, appearance, and enjoyment makes the game interesting.

Leda's original team cannot handle every job, so I add six people for an eleven-unit development plan. Recruit early to start training sooner, and fill gaps. Liking fast units is not a reason to fill every slot with fast damage dealers. The six jobs are:

RoleWhat the team needs
1. TankingAbsorb direct attacks
2. AvoidHandle enemies by dodging
3. Fast physical damagePhysical attacks and follow-ups
4. Fast magical damageSpell attacks and follow-ups
5. SupportDance and encouragement
6. HealingRestore allies' HP

Guzran trains swords and Catania uses a magic sword

Guzran starts with good Strength, Speed, and Defense, making him reliable when recruited early and used consistently. Follow Gladiator, Myrmidon, Shido, and Swordmaster. Light swords help preserve Attack Speed. Later classes also use lances: Javelin and Pilum add range, while Ridersbane supplies effectiveness. Upgraded Iron Sword and Bronze Sword also have excellent stats in Part 2, so look beyond weapon tier.

Catania is more flexible: use physical combat if Strength grows well, or magic if Magic is high. I plan a magical sword route: Ornius Rider into Wing Soldier, becoming strong with Levin Sword. On a first Leda playthrough, flying classes from other routes are not unlocked, so use Ranger as a transition. It offers Speed, swords, and worthwhile Magic growth. If Caladrius is already unlocked, it is a better transition. Finish as High Savant, retaining Levin Sword for main damage. If Strength also develops well, bring a physical sword against mages.

A cavalry destination does not require staying mounted the whole way. Check certification requirements and train the necessary Infantry, Riding, or Flying. Infantry stages can fit into the path.

An Avoid front line and armored tanking

Loretta's personal ability relates to Avoid, fitting an evasion role. Begin with Ornius Rider, then Armored Ornius Rider at the Specialty tier, continuing to combine lances and Speed.

Buccar follows armor throughout: Soldier, Armored Knight, Dreadnought, and Castle Knight. For more mobility, consider Great Knight. His Armored Move helps the tank keep pace. Use high-Might lances and axes, adding effective weapons for the enemies ahead. Focus on absorbing damage and counterattacking.

Leda dances or builds Strength for offense

This team already has plenty of attackers, so Leda suits support. Hunter and Rogue both use swords and bows, followed by Dancer. Dance and encouragement keep her busy enough.

Dancer utility requires staying in the class

To keep using Dance, stay in Dancer. Leaving removes this Dancer function.

She can also fight directly. Leda already has high Speed, so prioritize Strength. Begin as Hunter, train axes during the intervening time, then use Brigand, Warrior, and later Battlemaster. She retains follow-up Speed while Strength catches up. Swords and axes provide options such as Sagaris and Short Axe for 1–2 range.

Bow and gauntlet damage, plus a front-line mage

Keep Inyoni on bows. Equipping one gives +3 Strength, and later personal abilities and Combat Arts also center on bows. Strong Strength growth keeps individual hits useful even without doubling every fast enemy. Use Hunter, Archer, Sniper, and Bow Adept.

Mu covers gauntlets through Gladiator, Pugilist, Warrior, and Battlemaster. Equip gauntlets, with Qiankun Circles for 1–2 range, to provide physical damage.

Give front-line magic to Sirocco. Restoring 5 HP after every combat is noticeable early, and Speed, Strength, Magic, Defense, and Resistance are all good. Use Diviner, Shaman, Ovate, and Druid for a mage who fights near the front. Alternatively, High Savant trades some Magic for Defense and Resistance. Bring magical gauntlets or Salamander alongside spells for another damage option.

Pair ranged healing with chariot area damage

Olympia mainly heals here. She learns Physic, filling the required role. Fianna primarily heals with secondary damage, using Priest, Troubadour, and Valkyrium for enough mobility to follow the team.

With Buccar already tanking, Esmeralda supplies area damage. Her high Strength suits chariot Onslaught. Use Hunter, Archer, Charioteer, and Elephant Rider, mainly with bows. Each person fills a gap, completing the team's weapon coverage and roles.
