Charioteer: high StrBow arts

Qiongyuan Destiny argues that Intermediate Charioteer remains useful long-term; Enel also lists the high-Str Charioteer using bow combat arts as a branch that does not insist on follow-ups; prioritize single-hit damage over natural Spd as the goal.

Inyoni’s Archer-to-Bow Knight route

Inyoni joins as an Archer and suits Forest Knight into Bow Knight to improve Speed and mobility. Strength and bow-specific personal abilities already support high damage per hit. Training must address low Speed, unprepared Riding, and a final class locked until the Promised One’s story.

Train Riding D while she is an Archer

She already joins in the Specialty Archer class. Do not return to Beginner just to fill five tiers. Keep dealing bow damage while using arena training or manuals to raise Riding to D, then transition into Forest Knight around level 35.

The CalamityBow S or Sword S; obtain a Crystal of DarknessDivine stage; Combat Arts +3, Locktouch, Ultimate Search; master Divine Will

Bow Knight improves both Speed and mobility. It opens only in Segment 3 of the Promised One's story. Stay Forest Knight until then; recommended level alone does not bypass the unlock.

The Calamity connects through Bow S without requiring Sword S separately. Obtain the relevant Part 3 progress, Crystal of Darkness, and divine qualification, then prepare to change.

Ferghanan Horse supports damage and durability

On Cai’s route, ride a Ferghanan Horse after becoming a Forest Knight. At bond level 5, it grants Strength +2, Defense +2, and Defense growth +10%, adding damage and physical protection to her already-high Strength.

Animal capture begins in Chapter 5 on Cai’s route. At bond level 5, growth bonuses for the same animal type total 25%. Before finding a rare, train a wild animal of the same species. Lacking a rare horse does not prevent starting this stage. Capture access and bond development are prerequisites; do not count these benefits on another route or before developing the bond.

Strong individual shots come with fewer follow-ups

Around level 40, prioritize Strength, Speed, Dexterity, and HP. Strength at 50% is high for an archer. Together with Heavy-Bow User’s Strength +3 while holding a bow, it determines each arrow’s base power. Speed at 35% needs improvement to regain follow-ups. Dexterity improves accuracy and criticals, while HP leaves room to act after occasional hits.

HPStrengthMagicDexteritySpeedDefenseResistanceLuckCharm
40%50%20%40%35%40%30%40%30%

Low Magic, Luck, or Charm does not require changing training priorities. Defense and Resistance only need normal expected growth; resources still prioritize physical archery. If Strength grows poorly, train Inyoni on another protagonist’s route, then use Merge Causality to take higher individual stats.

Despite low Speed and recruitment opening from Chapter 7 onward in Part 1, ranged bow attacks let her avoid melee counters. In the Promised One’s story, Bow Knight’s mobility helps her keep up with offensive positions, turning Strength and bow-art benefits into effective damage more easily.

Pierce bonuses require bow arts

Her personal Heavy-Bow User grants Strength +3 only with a bow equipped. At level 35, Pierce+ grants Attack +4 and Crit +10 when attacking with a bow art. Normal bow attacks and bow arts receive different benefits, so consider durability and art selection together to exploit these abilities.

She can also learn Attack Formation for adjacent allies' Attack +1. Steady Shot requires infantry and grants Hit +5 with a bow or magic equipped. After changing to Forest Knight or Bow Knight, do not count infantry-only Steady Shot as permanent mounted Hit.

Combat ArtUse and cost
Sunder2 durability, Might +4, Crit +10, Range 1; shown as an axe melee art.
Vital Shot2 durability, Might +4, Crit +5, Range 2.
Surprise Shot2 durability, Might +3; 30% chance of Attack +5 against full-HP enemies, Range 2.
Arrowcrack5 durability; 50% chance of Attack +15 when attacking, Range 2.

Choose reliable damage first. Vital Shot is a low-durability staple, Surprise Shot depends on a full-HP target, and Arrowcrack offers a sizable chance-based damage boost. Heavy-Bow User and Pierce+ have more direct conditions than random procs. Assess base damage from those first, then decide whether to spend on costly arts.

Strategy Manuscript and History of a Master are favorites

Inyoni likes family, her homeland, hunting, farmwork, and bow maintenance. Her favorites are Strategy Manuscript and History of a Master. She likes Eastern Black Silk, Huge Fish Eyeball, Sharp Fishhook, Sturdy Rucksack, Training Bracelet, and Wing Fletching. Common Coffee and Mature Ghosh receive neutral reactions.

In Pale Raven conversations, choose Avert Your Eyes when she praises family and companions who help each other and asks you to cherish yours too. Choose Threaten when she says she struggles with men and asks for help if someone harasses her.

Fix accuracy to deliver bow-art damage

Improve accuracy first, then follow Archer → Sniper → Bow Adept. Use high Strength and bow arts for powerful single hits.

Equipping a bow adds Strength; bow arts add Attack and Critical. Her personal ability upgrades at level 35 for stronger single hits. Heavy Charioteer hits and sword/bow Speed training are separate routes requiring their own plans. Follow-ups depend on actual Attack Speed.

Class progression by stage

She joins relatively late. If already an Archer, continue forward instead of repeating Hunter. Exams still need Renown, proficiency, and unlocks.

Part 1: improve accuracy first

  • Continue Bow training from her actual bow class. Archer requires level 20, Renown 4, and Bow C. Its mastery, Crescendo, adds 3 Hit per kill on the map, up to 30. Learn mastery first, then earn kills on the current map; do not assume maximum stacks at the start.
  • Prepare Bow B. At level 35, Renown 8, and Bow B, change to Sniper. Master Marksmanship for extra Hit with a bow equipped. Bow-only training costs the least, ending in Bow Adept.
  • Use bow arts, not only ordinary shots. Heavy-Bow User gives Strength +3 with a bow. The level 20 bow-art bonus is Attack +2 and Critical +5, upgrading at 35 to Attack +4 and Critical +10. Art bonuses do not apply to ordinary shots.
Heavy-Bow User on the right grants Strength +3 with a bow equipped. Pierce+ below is a separate equipped ability. Equipping a bow and using a bow art are different conditions.

Infantry can equip Steady Shot for Hit. Learning ranks are recorded as Infantry D and B for the upgraded version, pending in-game verification; check her menu first. Infantry-only effects stop working when mounted. No bow or accessory is universally required; check whether the forecast gives reliable kills.

Part 2: keep training Bow as Sniper

Stay Sniper, train Bow A, and equip learned masteries such as Marksmanship. No fixed Part 2 class-change sequence is established. If Strength is sufficient but Speed is low, use single hits or arts to kill fliers and mages rather than waiting for ordinary follow-ups.

Another option is Brigand → Sniper. It strengthens single hits instead of forcing Speed improvements. Brigand needs level 20, Renown 4, and Sword or Axe C; the detour may not be worthwhile if Strength is already sufficient. Do not force a low-Strength archer's training plan onto her.

Another option is Rogue → Ranger → Shadow Seeker for Speed. Rogue requires level 20, Renown 4, and Sword or Bow C; Ranger requires level 35, Renown 8, Sword or Bow B, and its route unlock. Focus swords, bows, and Infantry for Speed growth. Stay pure bow until Ranger unlocks.

Bow Adept: accuracy and art choice amplify high Strength without guaranteeing natural follow-ups.
Bow Adept: accuracy and art choice amplify high Strength without guaranteeing natural follow-ups.

Part 3: pure bow or single-hit Charioteer

The default endpoint is Bow Adept at level 45 with Bow A after its unlock. Keep Crescendo and Marksmanship and continue securing kills with bow arts. High Strength also damages non-flying enemies. Check damage, Attack Speed, and Hit individually against high Defense. Exact Chinese art names, learning requirements, and equipment locations remain incomplete; use learned arts and equipment already obtained.

Another option is long-term Charioteer. Its exam needs level 20, Renown 4, Bow C, and Riding D. A late recruit can change from her current level without returning to 20. Use high Strength, Charge, and upgraded high-Critical bow arts for single-hit kills rather than forcing follow-ups. This route can start early and remain useful; it need not wait for Part 3.

Charioteer cannot evade while mounted, so evasion-infantry survival plans do not apply.

The sword/bow branch ends in Shadow Seeker, requiring level 45, Sword or Bow A, and its unlock. If reliable accuracy remains the greater need, return to Bow Adept. Shadow Seeker favors Speed growth; Bow Adept favors consistent bow damage. Their relative strength at equal investment is unsettled.

Finish with bow arts and activate accuracy with the first kill

Stay in the back line, using high-Strength bow arts to clear fliers, pick off mages, and finish weakened enemies. Take an easy-to-hit target for the first kill, stack Crescendo, then attack evasive enemies. Check Hit even at maximum stacks. If the first kill is unreliable, add fixed Hit first.

She can fill the bow role if Leda becomes a healer, mage, or takes another job. Some pure-bow builds follow up against slow enemies; others struggle to kill without multi-hit arts or follow-ups. Compare your actual Attack Speed and target rather than copying another developed build's results.

Recruitment details

Leda's route needs Renown 7, support 1, and 3000 gold. Theodora's needs Renown 9, support 1, and 4000 gold. Cai and Dietrich both need Renown 8, support 3, and 6000 gold. Give a gift first to unlock recruitment. See the recruitment page for appearance dates and Part 3 continuation.

Art bonuses and Hit stacks have separate conditions

  • Using only normal attacks. This misses her personal art bonuses.
  • Counting Crescendo as starting Hit +30. Build stacks from kills on the current map.
  • Treating high Strength as guaranteed doubles. Check Speed, weight, and the opponent.
  • Giving Charioteer an infantry-only setup. Conditions differ, and Charioteer cannot evade.
  • Repeating Hunter from scratch despite joining late. Continue actual proficiency, mastery, and level progress.
