Reading the Promised One demo: Check Blaze range and Hit, and account for rain weakening fireMinor spoilers
Eshmel’s Purifying Flash hits a cross centered on the user. Check HP costs and Hit before acting; weather also changes spell Might.

In this prerelease demonstration, Purifying Flash hits a cross centered on the user; check HP cost and Hit before attacking. Heavy rain lowers fire-magic Might.
New companions' abilities and combat arts
Nathan and
Creek come from the Kingdom of Arago. Their clips clarify their cavalry roles.
Nathan uses
Tempest Spear, with Might +4 and Hit +10 in the art preview;
Creek demonstrates his cavalry initiating ability. A change in follow-up damage alone is not enough: read ability conditions and combat-art bonuses too.
I also hope ordinary enemies use combat arts more often, beyond bosses and elites. That adds pressure to positioning and attack order rather than letting us assume enemies only use normal attacks.
Eshmel's status screen
Eshmel has customizable appearance. In the prologue demonstration, they appear as a level 40
Guardian wielding The Nameless.
Hong Hua heals from behind, and
Troy later joins the battle.
The Promised One's Blaze Gauge differs from the four protagonists': a full blue circle with a star icon. Differences in identity and power already appear directly on the status screen.
Purifying Flash's cross-shaped area
The
Purifying Flash demonstration costs 11 HP, increases the Blaze value by 1, is effective against netherfiends, and has range 0–3 in a cross. It can target the user's own tile without a distant unit to select. With enemies arranged in a cross, good positioning covers several targets.
The preview also shows Hit, so I include accuracy rather than assuming all Blaze Arts are guaranteed to hit. The Nameless changes shape during use, resembling the statue's spear. That weapon-and-identity connection is more interesting than appearance alone.
Rainy-day fire magic and route entrances
Heavy rain lowers fire-magic Might. When preparing a one-turn kill, check the weather alongside characters, weapons, and combat arts. Do not reuse the usual fire-damage estimate without adjustment.
After the prologue, opposing Demon God Balor means visiting the Obelisk Chamber beneath Fortuna's temple, choosing hero routes, and guiding the four protagonists toward the future. Four towers corresponding to fox, lion, wolf, and eagle place the routes in one selection space.
