18 things you might miss: Turn lengths and chapter snapshots
Each turn lasts six hours, so set return reminders early. Watch Part 1 bond conversations promptly; replaying a chapter updates later snapshots one chapter at a time.

Turns, weekly resets, and chapter snapshots each follow their own rules. Check these 18 points as you play to avoid missing bond conversations and plan your training and return trips more reliably.
1. Enter Part 3 straight after the prologue
After the prologue, you can choose one of the four protagonists or walk to the door in the obelisk room to enter Part 3 directly. This skips the first two parts, sends you into battle without helpers recruited from the past, and reveals major story events early. If you lose, Fortuna sends you back to the room, where you can choose a route again.
2. Four turns make one day
“24 turns remaining” on the calendar means 6 days, not 24. Each turn lasts six hours, giving you four turns per day. Use that unit when planning exploration and your trip back to the city.
3. Moving on the world map costs a turn
You can move up to 3 spaces per turn on the world map. Stopping early at a location still uses that turn; unused movement does not carry over. Opening a settlement's conversation or facility menu does not immediately spend the turn, but buying an item commits it. Account for stops along the way when planning a route.

4. Reminders still need return-travel time
The calendar lets you set reminders, but a reminder on the day of an event is too late if you are far away. Set it several days before the event to leave enough travel time to return to Dagsion.
5. Use the partial weeks on both ends of a free period
Weekly activities such as training reset on Sunday. Even a three-week free period can give you a fourth round of training and activities if you use the partial weeks at the start and end of the chapter. Count more than full weeks: check which days the free period begins and ends on.
6. Story progress restores Motivation
Characters regain Motivation whenever the main story advances. Spend your existing Motivation on training before entering the next story segment, rather than ending the free period with unused capacity.
7. The red X in the combat forecast
A red X in the attack forecast means that the unit will be defeated if all the upcoming attacks hit and none is critical. That is the result under those conditions. You still need to check accuracy and critical rates separately.
8. Travel from the journal's quest list
Open the quest list in your journal. For some location-linked quests, you can press A to travel there directly. Start with this list when looking for a quest destination.
9. Jump to people and shops from the city map
The city map lists more than districts and temples. Switch left or right from the initial fast-travel destination list to find lists of shops and characters. You can go straight to a specific merchant or someone you want to recruit.
10. Recruitment requirements change with your protagonist
The map's character list shows who you can recruit, who you cannot, and which requirements you need to meet. Check again after switching protagonists, since the same character may have different requirements.
Some characters refuse only a specific protagonist:
Peppe will not join
Leda, but can join the other three protagonists' teams. You can progress all four routes in the same playthrough, so switch routes to meet these companions.
11. Guest character profiles can spoil the story
Other protagonists or important teams temporarily join as guests during the preliminaries. Their profiles may openly list backgrounds that the story reveals later. If you want to learn about them as the story unfolds, avoid reading guest characters' personal histories for now.
12. Watch Part 1 Supports promptly
Once you meet the Bond Level requirement, watch the unlocked conversation promptly. If you enter Part 2 without watching it, an early Part 1 conversation may become unavailable even if you already unlocked it.
Check the lock message in the bond list. You have watched everything available in this part only when the next entry says it cannot be viewed during this part. Otherwise, keep building the relationship and watch the remaining conversations.
13. Chapter snapshots update one chapter at a time
Each protagonist has independent progress. During free time, you can switch at the obelisk and continue their individual stories. Completing a chapter saves a snapshot of the next chapter's opening, including recruited characters, stats, and quest progress.
Returning to an old chapter switches that route's current active save back to the opening of that chapter. Later chapter snapshots stay as they were. Replaying and completing the old chapter updates only the chapter immediately after it. You must keep progressing to each later chapter to update its snapshot.
Returning to train once does not update every later chapter with the new results simultaneously.
14. Earn Renown outside quests
Beyond shared quests and character-specific tasks, visit a temple when its map icon turns orange. Renown rewards for completing the main story are easy to overlook, and route-specific performances, challenges, and special activities also add Renown.
| Method | Renown |
|---|---|
| Visit a temple when its icon turns orange | 50 |
| Complete a main story chapter | 500 |
Activities such as
Leda's performances,
Dietrich's challenges, and private exhibition matches can also fit into your plans.
15. Restore personal outfits after class changes
After changing class, you can use the class outfit or switch back to the character's personal outfit. Class-dependent elements such as shields and mounts remain after the outfit change.
16. Restock exam passes outside the capital
Dagsion's merchants have limited stocks of exam seals. If there are not enough for the whole team's class changes, restock at other shops on the world map. Some outlying shops also charge less, saving you money.
17. A gold border around a name means new dialogue
A gold border around a character's name means they have new dialogue. This often refreshes at the start of a month or after specific story events, saving you from repeatedly talking to everyone to check. Ordinary residents often change their lines at the same time, but have no gold border indicator.
18. Check each unit's equipment after optimizing
Press the plus button on the items page to auto-optimize equipment, but I do not recommend accepting every choice. I have seen it equip an older weapon of the same type, or even an accessory the character cannot use. When someone else needs that item later, you have to search the entire team. Checking gear manually for each member's role makes it easier to remember who has what.
