Prologue Chapter 2: The Ruined LandMinor spoilers
Focus all three units on approaching enemies. If a target on a healing tile reduces damage, give up the finishing-blow experience rather than let it recover 30 HP. Clear the enemies you want before killing Lind.
In the Lind battle, focus all three units on approaching enemies. Have allies weaken targets for
Eshmel to finish. If a target on a healing tile has damage reduction, prioritize killing it this turn rather than saving experience and letting it recover another 30 HP. As you approach Lind, keep your healer behind the group while Eshmel deals damage with Blaze Arts at the front. Defeating Lind ends the battle immediately. Kill other enemies first if you want their experience. You lose if any unit retreats.
Search investigation areas and cave chests first
In the investigation area, pick up
Sandworm Meat and check the remaining investigation points before speaking to your companions to advance. Obtain Salamander +3 before leaving.
In the cave Clash, save the final blow for a Linked Attack so both participants receive MVP. Check the chest before reaching the exit so you do not miss
Concoction. Breaking objects along the way also yields Smithing Stones.

Approach 1: If Linked Attacks can handle the cave enemies and you have enough supplies, skip resting and save the dungeon's single rest opportunity.
Approach 2: If you need healing, check what you have spent first. If you have used little magic, eat just one serving of Sandworm Meat to recover 15 HP.
Focus all three allies to save Compressed Laser
The Lind battle opens with a ranged attack that can remove roughly half your HP from halfway across the map. Fire tiles also cause damage. Standing far away does not avoid these threats, and no unit can be allowed to retreat.
Focus all three allies’ attacks on one nearby enemy, with teammates lowering HP for Eshmel to finish.
Dietrich can teleport forward, so include that distance when planning enemy contact. After the immediate target falls, wait for later enemies to approach and heal during the gap, gaining Support and experience too.
Save Compressed Laser when normal attacks can set up a kill. Salamander has only 5 durability, and this art costs 2 per use, so repeated uses exhaust it quickly.
Secure the kill when damage reduction triggers
Approach 1: Against a target on a healing tile with damage reduction, plan finishing blows around its 50% chance to halve damage. A forecast leaving 13 HP may instead leave 29 after reduction. Keep a margin for the finishing blow.
If damage reduction triggers repeatedly, give up Eshmel’s final blow and finish with
Troy. Leaving the enemy alive for another turn restores 30 HP. Kill it this turn rather than keep trying to assign experience.

Approach 2: Check
Theodora's damage-reduction skill before attacking. It has a 50% chance to halve incoming damage, including both physical and magical attacks. Recalculate your kill after repeated activations; switching to magic does not bypass it.
Close in on archers and clear other enemies before Lind
Move next to archers and use Bolganone. When luring enemies on the left afterward, account for counterattack damage when assigning experience. A lured enemy may die to a counterattack before Eshmel can finish it.
As you approach Lind, keep the healer behind your front line while Eshmel uses Blaze Arts up front.
Compare your current attacks' actual Hit rates when finishing a target. If a 76% option feels unreliable, choose two attacks at 99% instead and prioritize securing the kill.
If you want experience from the other enemies, handle them before attacking Lind. Once you are beside the boss, movement and combat-art ranges may prevent you from reaching the remaining enemies. The battle ends as soon as Lind falls.
Claim the obelisk achievement rewards before choosing a protagonist
Rewind unlocks during the story after this battle. In the obelisk hall, claim rewards for completed achievements first to obtain Karma Shards for Boons of Salvation, then choose a protagonist's story. You can save before making that choice.
