Peter extends bow art range through his personal skill. For Esmeralda, separate equipment weight reduction from Pilum damage bonuses. Combat art upgrades, forging, and cooking add training choices while making pre-match preparation more involved.

Peter's bow Combat Art range

Peter is gentle and reluctant to hurt others, yet an expert archer. His personal ability Steady Aim adds +1 range to bow Combat Arts, directly changing where he can attack from.

The displayed Curved Shot values follow. Add the personal ability to determine Peter's actual reach.

Curved Shot parameterDisplayed value
Base range2
Might bonus+4
Hit bonus+10

Damage, Hit, and Range all change. Do not rely only on impressions of the same-named art from an earlier game.

The weapon selection screen also shows forging, with hunting and poison bow options. Consider the effectiveness and Combat Arts you need alongside equipment, rather than only choosing the highest Might.

Peter's Curved Shot menu shows durability cost 2, Might +4, and Hit +10. An upward indicator appears beside the current range of 2–3.

Separate Brawn's Weight reduction from throwing lance damage

Esmeralda comes from a fishing village, has Brawn, and is initially shown as Armored Knight. She and her father carry the Blaiddyd Bloodmark and have a weapon bearing its engraving, drawing attention to their connection with Fódlan.

Separate these two abilities:

Brawn reduces the weight of her weapons and equipment. Throwing Arm adds Hit and Attack when attacking with Pilum. Weight reduction and Pilum damage bonuses are separate effects.

The demonstration's harpoon also uses Brute Throw. Materials earned after combat upgrade Combat Arts, adding development beyond forging. Build enthusiasts have plenty to consider, though I also worry that accumulating upgrade systems will lengthen routine preparation.

Esmeralda's weapon menu lists polearms and an Iron Axe. The selected weapon's description says it can use Brute Throw.

Rainy footage and a hypothesis about Avoid

Tobias is a sociable, hard-drinking hero, also shown as Armored Knight. Lysander appears in his support footage.

The battle takes place in rain, yet the expected movement penalty is absent. Sagaris has 69% Hit against a flying monster, giving a calculated enemy Avoid of only 12—lower than I expected. My guess is that rain may lower flying units’ Avoid, but more footage is needed to judge.

Smashing Axe in the weapon list also raises hopes for knockback mechanics. Ingredients dropped after kills connect battle rewards with cooking. Forging, Combat Arts, and cooking keep expanding the choices. How the game reduces repeated preparation remains another concern.
