Cai’s Paralogue: Great EscapeMajor spoilers

Guard the yellow area in the lower left, use incense burners to slow enemies for 1 turn, then focus on Centurio. Do not advance the date before leaving time for Orchel’s paralogue.

Draft · Updated 2026-10-19

Return to the nine-paralogue walkthrough. This paralogue is available on Dietrich’s, Theodora’s, and Leda’s routes, but not Cai’s own route.

  1. Defeat Centurio to win. Any enemy entering the lower-left yellow area causes failure, so do not send the entire army after the boss.
  2. Leave a mobile or long-range unit watching the lower-right pursuers. Use incense burners to reduce nearby enemies’ movement for 1 turn.
  3. Finish Orchel’s paralogue outside town before continuing Cai’s conversation, so the date advance does not consume your travel window.

Find Cai in Dagsion’s streets. Accept before the 21st if possible, and finish outside-town requests before continuing the conversation. You cannot reach the battle date simply by auto-advancing days. Schedule Orchel’s paralogue first, then return to advance Cai’s event.

Victory, defeat, and map

Defeat Centurio to win. You lose if any enemy enters the yellow area at lower left, or if the current protagonist or Cai falls.

The lower-left yellow area is the failure zone. Any enemy entering it causes defeat.

Use incense burners to delay the many pursuers and save your main fighters for the boss. You do not need to rout ordinary enemies first. Leave one long-range or mobile unit to handle threats from the lower right while the other main fighters focus on Centurio.

Centurio is the victory target. Concentrate your main fighters on him while the interceptor guards the route to the yellow zone.

Break an incense burner when nearby soldiers approach. It reduces their movement distance for 1 turn. Check pursuer ranges again afterward, then arrange the next turn’s interception.

Use the lower-right incense burner to buy 1 turn, then concentrate damage on the boss.

Rewards and recruitment after battle

Completion awards Gem Box ×1, 20,000 gold, and 150 Renown, while fulfilling one prerequisite for Tialla’s recruitment. You still need to negotiate with her afterward. On all three routes, give a gift first, reach support 3 with the current protagonist, and prepare 3000 gold. Renown requirements are below.

On Theodora’s route, this is already Chapter 12. Complete negotiations before the route’s final main battle.
