Leda starts with Dancer before transitioning to armor

This route aims for both Avoid and Defense. Heavily suppressing levels to maximize Dancer growth is exhausting and need not be the foundation of the build. Start Leda toward Dancer, then add armor later. Moderate experience control is enough: obtain the Dancer qualification through the Chapter 9 side quest before level 20. This story-based class change can happen early, without waiting for the regular Advanced exam threshold of level 35.

Keep up Heavy Armor training and skill books too. Reach Heavy Armor B for enhanced Armored Leap. In Part 3, pair a Black Horse at maximum friendship with Great Knight, then take Speed and Strength masteries. The goal is a unit who can play her instrument on the frontline and also deal counterattack damage.

Lysander stacks Speed through kills

Start Lysander with Pugilist and Ranger. At level 35, he learns Accelerate+, gaining 2 Speed per kill. Five kills cap the battle bonus at 10 Speed. With decent Strength and Defense as well, he can push forward during this section of the war story.

Heavy Armor S is the expensive part of this path. Leda learns enhanced Armored Leap at B, but Lysander needs S. Armor and swords are both weaknesses for him, requiring extensive training and skill books. Budget this investment before committing to him.

Great Knight combines Avoid with Defense

Move into Great Knight in Part 3 as well. Later, Lysander can replace one enhancement slot with Defense. This gives less Avoid than a pure Avoid build but improves damage tolerance. Dodge enemies with high Attack, and use Defense against fast enemies with low damage per hit. Combining those layers is the point of this path.
