Four preparations before Part 1 ends: Build your roster, train skills, and carry equipment forwardMajor spoilers
Recruit core units and reserves, prepare effective weapons, train Blessings and reduce their costs, then finish targeted training and distribute equipment from opened crates.

1. Prepare 24 main and reserve units
You will need more and more characters later. Do not stop after developing the small team you use during Part 1.
| Final chapter of each part | Deployment count | Teammates excluding the protagonist |
|---|---|---|
| Part 1 | 9 | 8 |
| Part 2 | 13 | 12 |
| Part 3 | 25 | 24 |
My approach is to complete at least two Part 1 routes and gather at least 24 regulars and reserves combined. Not everyone needs the same high level, but they should have basic equipment and abilities that let them contribute.
Prioritize sword users who can wield
Levin Sword and healers with
Physic. Bring at least 1 archer, preferably 2 or more, and at least 1 flier. A flier who can also use
Levin Sword is even more convenient. For
Physic, consider
Olympia,
Tialla,
Yang Jie, and
Sofia. Fill the remaining slots with magic and other damage roles to suit your approach.
2. Forge weapons for your intended targets
Part 2 has many cavalry enemies charging from different directions. Prepare anti-cavalry weapons for archers and bring equipment such as
Ridersbane to make them easier to handle.
If you keep using axe fighters such as
Buccar and
Mikaela, I strongly recommend
Velheit. It has high Hit and low Weight. From Part 2 onward, landing axe attacks becomes crucial. Once you obtain it, gather upgrade materials in the relevant labyrinth and upgrade it too.
Try to prepare a
Levin Sword for each main sword user. You can select them from
Luxury Weapon Crate or exchange for them at the Wandal Trading Company. Having only one limits swapping characters and splitting teams. Several copies make later assignments easier.
Prepare two or three
Cleansing Blade weapons too. Later maps with undead include reach-the-destination objectives. Not everyone needs one, but the units clearing the way must have usable weapons.
3. Train Kalla first and reduce Blessing costs
Prioritize Kalla's Blessing. Avoid and Speed are useful, and the level-three +2 Movement is urgently needed in many situations involving travel or racing for an objective. Activating Kalla repeatedly in an emergency can often pull the team out of an awkward position.
Take Aurora's Blessing second for easier fights against undead. After that, I would consider Mars's Blessing for more damage.
After receiving Karma Shards for clearing Part 1, remember to reduce Blessing costs through Boons of Salvation. The benefit is direct: when you truly need repeated Blessings, your Divine Sand lasts longer.
4. Train skills, then distribute equipment
In Part 1 chapter twelve, raise the skill ranks your main units need as much as possible. Part 1 lets you specify training goals, while skill improvement in Part 2 depends more on random results. A strong character still cannot perform properly without access to the planned weapons and target class.
Change into Advanced classes when available instead of deliberately hoarding
Advanced License. Part 2 supplies 5 each chapter, so use Part 1 seals for the class changes you need now.
Late in Part 1, focus labyrinth leveling on regular team members. Weaker units can catch up in ordinary levels through Battalion actions later, but targeted skill training is something to do now.
Open equipment crates before distributing what you will carry
Do not leave
Luxury Weapon Crate in storage until the transition. Open it, choose equipment, then place the weapons you want in Part 2 in your units’ equipment and inventories. Part 2 carries over equipment they bring with them. A crate of good items in storage is different from equipment already distributed to characters.
Finally, check the main and reserve units' skills, classes, and carried equipment. Complete at least one protagonist's Part 2. Another protagonist with trained skills and a full equipment setup can serve as a Part 3 reserve even if you skip their Part 2.
