Chapter 7: Opposed AgendasMinor spoilers
Dismount your pegasus units against the many archers. Let allies catch up before engaging Hong Hua, summon a beast when your advance stalls, and finish Inyoni without delaying for EXP.
Complete mounted class changes for Cai, Peter, and Guzran first. Even if you have just recruited Alexandra, do not rush to deploy her on a pegasus: this map has many archers. Target Hong Hua first, but let your mounted front line wait for the others to catch up. Do not let one unit take her attacks and those of several enemies ahead alone. If advancing would be too dangerous, summon a beast to engage the enemies, then lure enemies down from above. Remember that your beast can also block your own chariot. Finish Inyoni safely at the end instead of leaving the boss alive to farm EXP for other units.
Keep pegasi away from archers and check your chariot's Canto
Check archer positions before deciding whether to deploy Alexandra. Do not put her on a pegasus just because she is a new recruit and already a Wing Soldier. With so many archers, that sends your new ally straight into danger.
After Peter becomes a Charioteer, check whether Canto is available before attacking. If its icon is still black and unusable, calculate incoming damage and retreat routes assuming he will stay where he attacks. Do not plan on moving back one tile afterward.
Wait for allies before attacking Hong Hua

Prioritize Hong Hua at the start, but do not let your mounted front line race ahead alone just because it has more Movement. Several enemies ahead can focus fire while Hong Hua remains behind them. Stop when you outpace your allies and wait for them before advancing.

If an enemy in brush is too hard to damage, wait for it to come out. When repositioning, move onto the brush tile itself. Do not stand on the open tile beside it and leave the brush to the enemy. Even if buffs let you deal damage, check whether the counterattack will kill you. If healing cannot keep up, waiting is safer than trading hits.
Heal and get allies into position to finish Hong Hua
Heal your front line to full before approaching Hong Hua. Even brush may not let them survive her attacks. Before focusing on her, check whether your other units can reach positions to finish her. If they cannot arrive and you cannot kill her this turn, heal, survive the next hit, and focus your attacks next turn.
Check the counterattack forecast before attacking archers at close range, too. They may counter from adjacent tiles, so do not send a wounded unit next to one for the finishing blow.
Leave your chariot a route past the summoned beast
After recovering, advance from above and lure one enemy down first. If your units cannot safely move closer, use Summon Beast and let the enemies attack it. It can defeat enemies with counters and recover HP, taking the pressure off your party during this wave.
Check whether the beast is blocking the passage before moving your chariot up. If the beast stays put, your chariot cannot pass. If an obstacle blocking the route cannot be destroyed, go around it or wait for the enemies to approach.
Finish Inyoni when you can
At the end, do not leave the boss alive and attack nearby enemies to feed EXP to other units. Chasing extra kills prolongs your exposure to bows. When you can end the battle, choose the attack with the higher hit rate instead of risking more turns to give a weaker ally the kill.
Build support before collecting the Levin Sword and changing classes
To build support for recruitment first, prepare 900 gold at the chapter's start. Choose two people and eat three times, then select “Restart this chapter.” Skip the opening scenes and dine again. Restarting refunds your money and restores items while retaining support, so you can repeat this sequence. Do it before training and side activities: restarting also resets your allies' strength and inventory to their state at the start of the chapter, undoing that progress if you trained first.
Once Cai reaches level 20, take the Specialty Certification Exam first. Complete the tutorial for fighting giant enemies to obtain the Levin Sword, then give it to him. Its 1—2 range and magic damage give Cai another way to attack. Peter can become a Charioteer and Guzran a Light Cavalry unit. Keep white-magic healing available when changing your casters' classes; do not sacrifice your healing just to mount everyone.
Before leveling your main mounted units, have each rider feed their own mount, then head out to fight. Higher mount support also improves its growth bonus. Feeding is available once a day, so you do not need to wait until next week to maximize it quickly.
When heading out for requests, visit Megaira first to buy a Special Axle. Return and turn it in to unlock waystations before planning longer journeys, reducing repeated travel on foot.
Complete two weekly rounds on Saturday and Sunday before traveling
If you return near the weekend, finish this week's activities on Saturday, then do another round after Sunday's reset before heading out on a long journey. This leaves about half a month for your next trip instead of returning to the capital after every round. If you have not turned in the axle yet, combine the Megaira axle purchase and certification-seal shopping in one trip.
