Chapter 7: A Voice From the DarknessMinor spoilers
Send the four guests left and prioritize Priests on the right. Protect your left-side mages and use an Avoid buff against Wing Soldiers; finish the boss once reinforcements stop giving experience.
Assign the four guests to the left route and advance your main team on the right, prioritizing the Priests there. Do not assume two units can finish a mage on the right. On the left, do not withdraw the front line protecting your mages just to avoid Wing Soldiers. If both sides are under pressure, give the team Avoid +50 to hold your positions before attacking again. Alexandra advances on her own. Once you confirm the reinforcements give no experience, finish the boss directly.
Budget for gifts before recruiting Loretta
Approach 1: skip meals when money is tight. If funds are low, stop using meals to build affinity for now.
Approach 2: reserve money to build support early. To recruit
Loretta as soon as possible, give her sweets early and raise support to 3. Do not wait until you have enough Renown to begin. Unlock negotiations with gifts first, then arrange meals when you return to the city. Before buying gifts in bulk, purchase the metaprogression gift discount to save ten percent.
Send the four guests along the left route

Your regular team has 7 deployment slots. Give everyone a Vulnerary before battle so they have medicine when far from a healer. Let the four guests advance on the left. Their combat experience is shared with your regular team afterward, so your own units do not need to cross routes to steal finishing blows.
Kill the Priests on the right, then stop advancing
Prioritize Priests on the right. Before attacking a mage, add up every attack you can follow up with that turn. Even two units attacking together may fail to kill if you are counting on a critical hit for extra damage. Do not stake the final blow on a crit. If insufficient damage has already caused a death, reload and reorganize. After dealing with the right-side mage, hold your current position instead of pushing farther.
Before having
Leda help against a flier, check whether it is within her Range. If she cannot reach it, use someone else for the finish.

Theodora’s upgraded Earthen Throw is still a single-target attack and costs more HP. Calculate her remaining HP before using it.
Hold the left front line with Avoid +50
When Wing Soldiers threaten the left front line, check the mages behind it. Moving the front line exposes the mages, but staying means taking the Wing Soldiers’ attacks. If caught between those threats, reload to before you withdrew and use the Avoid +50 buff you prepared through prayer. It benefits the whole team and lets you keep the original defensive position.
Alexandra advances on her own
Alexandra comes forward while your squads are still handling enemies on both routes. Do not wait until the left side is completely clear to account for her.
Before turning back to clear reinforcements, check their experience rewards. The later reinforcements give no experience, so defeat Alexandra to end the battle rather than prolonging it to farm them.
Recruit Alexandra after battle
Once free actions begin, find
Alexandra and negotiate. Give her one cheap gift, then continue recruitment. She joins at level 21 and can immediately strengthen a team whose levels are lagging.
If you already plan to train Theodora as an Armored Knight, change her class after battle. For other units still one level short, wait until they level up before changing.
