Alexandra: choosing between Pegasus and sword classes

Alexandra can move from her starting Wing Soldier into Shido, then Swordmaster and The Blade, using sword follow-ups and critical hits to offset low Strength. To retain flight and her unique pegasus, you can continue into Celestial Trooper. Choose between infantry sword finishing power and flying mobility; her starting mount does not have to determine her final class.

Train Sword while she is a Wing Soldier

She joins as the female-only Wing Soldier. The recommended route begins with this Specialty class rather than retraining in Beginner classes. Wing Soldier requires Flying D and either Sword C or Spear C, with recommended level 20 and Renown 4. Train Sword here and master Protecting Wings. The Advanced Shido recommends level 35, Renown 8, and Sword B. It grants two extra Combat Art slots and Sword Crit +5, with Ever Vigilant as its mastery reward.

The Master Swordmaster recommends level 45 and Sword A, granting three extra Combat Art slots and Sword Crit +7, with Astra as its mastery reward. This route can use Cleansing Blade, giving her an attack option against enemies with Netherworld Blessing in Part 3. Her Speed is high, but Strength growth is only 35%. Combining sword criticals and follow-ups makes kills easier than simply retaining flight.

Swordmaster unlocks through the Mars Temple side quest in the Promised One’s story. Keep fighting as a Shido until she qualifies. Reaching level 45 alone does not unlock it. For her Divine class, choose The Blade, which requires Sword S and grants Sword Crit +10 and three extra Combat Art slots, with Divine Insight as its mastery reward. Prepare the Divine certification item and an army-wide class slot separately; the original guide gives no fixed reclass level.

The original guide also covers staying airborne as a Celestial Trooper. This guide primarily recommends Swordmaster: Sword Crit +7 and its Speed growth bonus make kills easier in the original damage comparison. Retaining flight instead preserves terrain access and mount benefits for freer positioning. These are different battlefield roles.

Bucephalus stays with her flying classes

In Cai’s story, you can use Bucephalus, the unique pegasus she brings. Keep riding during the Wing Soldier stage. At bond level 5, it gives Speed +3, Resistance +2, Speed growth +15%, and Resistance growth +10%. These bonuses end when she becomes an unmounted Shido; they do not permanently carry over to infantry sword classes.

Animal capture starts in Chapter 5 of Cai’s story. At bond level 5, the total growth bonus is 25%. If you have not found a rare breed, a wild animal of the same species provides the same total growth bonus. However, she already brings a unique pegasus, so there is no need to find another mount for this stage. Retaining flight preserves that training benefit. Infantry sword classes trade it for class critical bonuses and stronger sword finishing options.

Watch Strength even after her Avoid improves

Check Speed, Luck, Dexterity, and Strength around level 40. Her 55% Speed growth supports Avoid and follow-ups, while 50% Luck supports Dodge. Silver Maiden grants Hit and Avoid +5 each per adjacent ally, making her suited to advancing alongside teammates. Her 45% Dexterity growth affects Hit and criticals. Her low 35% Strength growth determines whether follow-ups finish the target.

Magic, Defense, and Charm are not priorities for this physical dodge build. Her 40% Resistance growth develops naturally. With 30% HP growth, she cannot afford to take reliable hits at low HP. Low Defense also demands careful Avoid and positioning management. If Speed grows poorly, retrain her on another protagonist’s route, then use Merge Causality to take the higher value for each stat.

She excels in Sword, Spear, and Flying, but struggles with Axe and Black Magic. Training her strengths to Sword A and S leads smoothly into Swordmaster and The Blade. A Brigand detour to improve Strength requires extra class training time.

Her damage comes together in the mid to late game

This guide rates her A tier. Her strengths are 55% Speed and 50% Luck. Combined with adjacent allies’ Hit and Avoid bonuses, these support reliable sword follow-ups, while 40% Resistance helps against magic. Weaknesses are 30% HP, 35% Strength, and 30% Defense. Joining no earlier than Chapter 7 of Part 1 also leaves less early- and midgame training time.

High Avoid does not mean she can handle enemy formations alone immediately. From late Part 1 through the first half of the Promised One’s story, enemies may survive her follow-ups. Her damage gradually pays off as sword stats, critical bonuses, and Combat Arts come together. That is why you should check whether she can follow up and whether she can kill separately.

Recruitment requirements differ across all four routes

DietrichPart 1, Chapter 738
TheodoraPart 1, Chapter 816
LedaPart 1, Chapter 7310

Unlike characters requiring paralogue negotiations, her listed requirements are the chapter, Support, and Renown for each route. Theodora’s story has lower Support and Renown thresholds; Leda’s requires the most Renown. Plan gifts around your current route’s targets.

Soar requires terrain infantry cannot enter

Silver Maiden grants Hit and Avoid +5 each per adjacent ally. Soar+ requires terrain infantry cannot enter and grants Attack Speed +5. Flying away from the group may leave her without adjacent allies. After switching to infantry, she cannot assume she can reach her former flying positions either. Check her position each turn for both bonuses.

Read the Winds grants Avoid +10 against bows. Flitting Flier grants Attack Speed +2 only when initiating combat while flying. Distraction lowers adjacent enemies’ Hit by 3. Each has weapon, class, or initiation restrictions; none is an unconditional stat bonus.

Gale Spear2Might +4, Crit +5
Flowing Spear2Might +3, combat Avoid +10

Every art here has Range 1. Learning one does not guarantee that her current class permits its weapon. Flying and infantry sword-and-spear classes share some tools, but axe arts require a separate weapon-permission check. Do not equip one just to fill a slot.

Gifts and three Pale Raven responses

She likes her parents, Bucephalus, admirable men, and romance. Her favorite gifts are Garum, Kitten Figurine, Eastern Earrings, Strategy Manuscript, and History of a Master.

Other liked gifts

For Pale Raven conversations, choose Somersault when she asks whether you have visited her comfortable hometown; Stare when she expresses confidence in demonstrating her martial skills; and Spread Wings when she invites you to ride far away together someday. Her Support conversation partners are Eshmel, Cai, Theodora, Sirocco, Olympia, and Gaitz. Her Japanese voice actor is Noriko Shibasaki.

Alexandra crosses obstacles to kill mages and finish enemies. Levin Sword puts both Strength and Magic to use. Default to continuing Wing Soldier and developing Bucephalus, then Celestial Trooper in Part 3. Shido mastery is optional. The level 35 terrain Attack Speed upgrade helps, but kills still depend on weapons, mount, and current Strength and Magic.

Class progression by stage

Part 1: Develop the existing pegasus instead of going backward

If she joins in Wing Soldier, use it directly rather than returning to beginner classes. Its guideline exam requirements are level 20, Renown 4, Flying D, Sword or Spear C, and female gender. These explain the route, not a requirement to retake the exam in every save. Choose Sword or Spear as the main offense, train toward Part 3's A rank, then add Flying.

Care for Bucephalus early once mount development is available. It meaningfully supports this flying route, beyond appearance. Carry Levin Sword for high-Defense, low-Resistance targets and a spear or ordinary sword for physical targets. Magic swords depend on her Magic and enemy Resistance. High Speed alone does not guarantee kills against armor.

Add Brigand only if Strength clearly falls behind. Around level 20 and Renown 4, Sword C avoids her Axe weakness for the exam. Train for a while, then return to flight. Another approach stays in Wing Soldier without a separate Strength class, preserving mobility and anti-magic duties. These have different investments. Do not count Brigand levels and pegasus growth for the same leveling stage.

Part 2: Keep flight and train for the endpoint early

Cross obstacles to reach back-line Bishops and mages, avoiding bows and other anti-flying threats. Advancing tiers is no reason to abandon a useful role. Continue the main weapon to A and Flying to C. Flitting Flier at Flying C+ is an extra target; the C exam threshold does not mean the C+ skill is learned.

An alternative uses Caladrius before returning to Celestial Trooper, favoring Levin Sword and magic. Caladrius needs a separate ornius mount; Bucephalus's bond cannot transfer. No uniform stage-by-stage level plan is verified.

For ground swords, another route uses Brigand → Shido → Swordmaster. Shido recommends level 35, Renown 8, and Sword B, with critical sustain only after Ever Vigilant mastery. This loses flying and pegasus benefits. It is not a mandatory detour for the flying core. Stay in Wing Soldier if the goal is simply crossing obstacles to kill the back line.

Part 3: Celestial Trooper improves mobility without forcing tanking

Around level 45, Sword or Spear A, and Flying C, change to female-only Celestial Trooper after clearing the first section. Keep Bucephalus, using Levin Sword and the Part 3 anti-undead Cleansing Blade for different targets. Lightning Reflexes mastery requires actually completing mastery, not merely joining.

With multiple-route training, improving Strength elsewhere before Part 3 fusion is another option. A single route cannot directly copy the fused result. A demanding magic alternative uses Shaman → Caladrius, trains her Black Magic weakness, then, with spare resources, reaches Black Magic S and borrows The Avatar's Divine Law mastery for Magic +10. Training, new mounts, and divine qualification all cost extra. Model predictions are not guaranteed in-game results.

Prioritize light equipment and effective Attack Speed. Remove shields or accessories for comparison if they cost a double. Protecting Wings and Flitting Flier are established anti-magic and Attack Speed options. Specific battalions and blessings are unverified. Flying and mounted classes cannot be assigned battalions. See battalion assignment restrictions.

Avoid enemy bows before crossing obstacles for mages

Mark enemy bow range first, then attack a low-Defense mage or weakened target. A safe ending position matters more than distance flown. Soar needs unwalkable terrain, giving Attack Speed +3 at level 20 and +5 at 35. Silver Maiden gives Hit and Avoid +5 per adjacent ally. Solo flight often loses adjacency benefits; ordinary ground beside allies does not also grant terrain Attack Speed.

Recruitment details

Theodora's route needs Renown 6, support 1, and a gift first; Cai's needs Renown 7 and support 2. Their appearance chapters differ, so lower thresholds do not guarantee an earlier meeting. See Alexandra's recruitment requirements for other routes. Do not wait until the end if developing her personal mount.

Count new mounts and mastery in training costs

  • Counting maximum adjacency bonuses and unwalkable-terrain Attack Speed on every flight.
  • Changing to Caladrius or Dragoon while keeping the personal pegasus's growth and bond benefits.
  • Forcing ground mastery for Ever Vigilant and removing the team's only flying unit.
  • Carrying heavy shields and accessories despite high Speed, losing doubles through actual Attack Speed. High Avoid does not remove enemy bow range either.
