Recommended characters for this class

Playing this class

Shadow Seeker suits units combining sword/bow combat with exploration. Locktouch and Master Search help gather supplies, while mastery art Dropshadow Blade handles enemies on favorable terrain.

The Shadow Seeker exam screen confirms the class name at the upper right. The selected Locktouch description says it opens chests without keys. Recommended level 45 and the Bow A/Sword A alternatives appear at the lower left.

Suitable characters

  • Dietrich can enter from Ranger or Shido for Speed and Dexterity, then return to Swordmaster for pure sword damage.
  • Leda can patch Strength through Gladiator, Brigand, and Warrior first. Ranged sword/bow attacks work with extra attacks after HP expenditure. Once she switches to damage, assign extra-action support to someone else.
  • Jester can take Rogue → Shido → Shadow Seeker for sword/bow counters and support. Choose Swordmaster for more sword damage.

Training priorities

Unlocks after clearing segment 1 of the Promised One's story. Recommended level 45, with either Bow A or Sword A. Uses swords and bows, has Movement 5, and Combat Arts +3.

Growth modifiers are Speed +25, Dexterity +15, and Strength +5. Master Search works only while assigned to a unit. Bring it when Part 3 reconstruction needs materials.

When it helps

Use Dropshadow Blade against enemies hiding in bushes. This Range 1 sword art has Might +10 and ignores the target's favorable terrain effects. Normal attacks do not gain that effect.

Sword users who often face enemies in bushes can pick up Dropshadow Blade along the way. Otherwise, there is no need to wait specifically for mastery.

Stay for Speed and exploration. If you only need movement, switch to Bow Knight. When another explorer is already available, do not spend a scarce license just for gathering.
