Visit Part I field objectives and confirm the green check before scheduling paralogues and hidden events. Upgrade and equip gear before War, organize mounts and Battalions before its first clear, and check storage and recruitment prerequisites before Part III.

Four things need advance checks: registering Part 1 field-objective visits, timed paralogues and hidden events, preparing your army before War, and organizing storage before your first War clear.
Most ordinary side quests can be recovered by restarting, at the cost of replaying from an earlier save point. Item inheritance and equipment binding need more planning than simply returning for them later.
| Current point | Check immediately |
|---|---|
| Each Part I chapter's field objective | Actually reach the node, choose to continue moving or wait, and confirm a green check. Canceling with B does not register a visit. |
| Early Part I | Theodora Chapter 3 outfit change; Dietrich Chapter 5 Fabio event |
| July–October | My Late Sister's Accessory, route-specific paralogue dates, Theodora's boat loan before 9/15 |
| Before finishing Part I Chapter 12 | Limited recruitment, weapon upgrades, manuals/exam licenses, gear to bring into War |
| Before the first War Chapter 6 clear | Cai's mount and Theodora's Battalion assignments; storage readiness |
| Before starting Part III | Four protagonists' clear states, paralogue coverage, guest survival, item-bag count |
Visit Part I field objectives before spending the remaining free time. Walk to the main-story node, choose to continue moving or wait, and confirm the destination has a green check before leaving. Canceling with B does not register it; seeing the location on the map does not count either. Only after confirming the visit should you use Part I's automatic deadline transport. It does not replace the first journey.
Part III is different: during subjugation stages, you must actually defeat the target before the deadline. Visiting the location does not complete the battle. See Part III: Salvation for the stages.
For recruitment details, see Difficult recruits. For every paralogue date, see the Paralogue list.

Preserve event prerequisites early in Part 1
Theodora Chapter 3 outfit change: Speak to Bonaventure before exploring Dagsion. This optional event belongs to that point in the chapter; do not finish exploration before returning for it.
Dietrich’s Fabio event: Once Chapter 5 free time begins, speak to Fabio on Temple Row, then visit the eastern alley on the middle level.
If you miss Chapter 5, the corresponding Chapter 10 event will not trigger. Replaying Chapters 5 and 10 separately does not work. Continue from Chapter 5 through Chapters 6–9, then reach Chapter 10.
In Chapter 10, visit southwestern Upper Temple Row at * for Fabio’s event. After Chapter 12 free time begins, find Fabio in the eastern middle-level alley again. This connects to the Answerer Arisen* upgrade in the main battle; older guides also translate the weapon’s name literally as “Answerer.”
For all Fabio events, complete Chapters 5 → 10 → 12 in sequence. After Chapter 5, keep progressing through 6–9, then handle 10 and 12 to avoid replaying multiple chapters after a missed event.
Support conversations also have timing and viewing-order clues, so track more than recruitment dates. Peter, Tialla, and Ultand’s conversations on Cai’s route are linked. Some Lilian conversations with Lysander and Bonaventure on Theodora’s route depend on whether you have watched Theodora–Lilian B first. For Buccar’s conversations on Leda’s route, records recommend viewing them before Chapter 7. Check available conversations at each chapter’s start and record viewing order and recruitment status. See the Support lock checklist for specific branches.
Check once by day and once at night when a chapter opens, and enter the temple too. Some side quests depend on location and time of day; others are inside the temple and do not appear on the outside world map. Check the map at both times, then look inside the temple even if no question mark appears. Sparkling points have several uses. Fabio’s event still requires the prerequisites and dates above.
Check recruitment paralogues from July through October
Creek: My Late Sister's Accessory
This occurs only on Dietrich’s or Leda’s route, from Chapter 9. Dietrich’s acceptance window is August 10–October 4; Leda’s is July 12–October 15. Once accepted, find the brooch and report back rather than leaving it collected but unreported. It is a prerequisite for War’s
Creek →
Nathan recruitment chain. Cai and Theodora cannot complete it for those routes.
September's single-day paralogue and hidden event
Dietrich, daytime on 9/17: Accept Bertrand's paralogue outside Dagsion's great arena. This is Gaitz's only prerequisite window. Visit Phezan Gate and build support early. Gaitz can only be recruited in Chapter 12 after Chapter 11's main battle. Completing the paralogue does not automatically add him to the team.
Theodora Chapter 10, before 23:59 on 9/15: Find Anatolia near the great arena and lend her the boat. Finish this chapter's desired sea exploration first. The loan connects to hidden events in Chapters 11 and 12. She returns at 18:00 on 9/28; the event can continue in the city during Chapter 11.
Do not leave September–October paralogues until the last day
Accept Leda's paralogue on 9/2–9/8. Talimun has two windows, from 9/17 and 10/1–10/10. Anatolia's acceptance period is 10/5–10/14. Dietrich and Cai begin on 10/16; Orchel begins on 10/18, with Cai's acceptance window only 10/18–10/20. Cai and Leda have forced battle times. Accept early rather than using Skip to Deadline and expecting automatic handling.
Check cross-route recruits too. Fabio can only be recruited on Leda's route, after 11/4. Sha Lan is recruitable only on
Dietrich/
Leda and requires Anatolia's paralogue. Tialla, Buccar, Ursula, Peppe, and Diego also have paralogue prerequisites. A reward column mentioning someone does not guarantee recruitment on the current route.
Hidden weapons and classes late in Part I
Leda Chapter 10, Kalla's Bow: After free time begins, visit reception at Kalla's main temple for a two-stage trial. It may not be marked automatically. Bring accurate units and weapons against fast, evasive enemies. Distinguish the main temple from the city branch.
If the trial option is missing, check the subsidiary temple’s hint. In one case, the main temple gave no hint. The trial option appeared at a subsidiary temple after the Blessing reached level 2 and the character reached level 30. Both changed together, so neither individual threshold is confirmed. Bow A is still required afterward. Check the Chapter 10 entrance first, then the subsidiary temple hint. See Kalla’s Blessing for the discovery sequence.
Dietrich’s Blacksmith: The class becomes available after you have 10 or more upgraded Combat Arts; some descriptions say “upgrade 10 times.” Check the exam list at the relevant story point.
Complete other exclusive classes too: Cai's instruction, Dietrich's challenge letters, Theodora's military preparations, and Leda's performance/new-product chains. Unlocked classes are shared immediately, so unlocking alone does not require another full clear. See Quests and exclusive tasks for entries.
Prepare equipment and save materials before War
War is a series of battles without most Part 1 shops, forging, recruitment, or map activities. Prepare these before entering:
Only characters' carried weapons and equipment enter Part II. Use the organization opportunity at its start to place special gear on characters. Storage is inaccessible in Part II and later enters Part III under carryover rules. Not every item can be smuggled through inventory slots. If bench units are carrying gear, confirm each piece appears in the inheritable list.
This is the point to equip gear before entering Part II. The next section concerns assignment organization before finishing Part II; they are different moments.

Unequip mounts and Battalions before your first War clear
A protagonist’s first clear of War Chapter 6 determines that route’s item record for Part 3. Equipment still assigned to a character follows that version of the character. Replaying can update character stats and overwrite the previous run’s equipped gear. Recovering missing items through the Sacred Ark costs Karma Shards.
For that reason, unequip all animals from Cai’s route and Battalions from Theodora’s route before clearing War, so Part 3 can redistribute them among different character versions.
Either unequip in War Chapter 1 and skip ahead, or unequip before Chapter 6 ends and then clear it. If you are unfamiliar with skip points, organize everything before Part 1 Chapter 12.
Keep enough weapons to fight War manually. Do not strip away essential equipment into storage that Part 2 cannot access. Before clearing, decide what should stay bound to characters and what should remain shared.
Explanations of ordinary equipment carryover differ. One cautious recommendation admits that exact storage record points have not all been tested. Another separates ordinary items from mounts: ordinary gear need not be removed, and Part I's end locks the item box. Before completing Part II, replaying Part I can replace that record. Mounts update with characters at Part II results, using their latest state.
Unequip Cai’s mounts and Theodora’s Battalions as described above. Check ordinary weapons separately: record the character version at the end of Part 1, at the first Part 2 clear, and the version selected in Part 3, then trace weapons and animals.
Check Part 3 inheritance and the Sacred Ark separately
Later items do not automatically append to Part III
Keep first-clear items separate from later runs. Items obtained later can be registered in the Sacred Ark and retrieved with Karma Shards. Returning to Part 1 after starting Part 3 does not automatically add those items to your current Part 3 run. Recover them through the Sacred Ark and pay Karma Shards.
The Sacred Ark opens after the same protagonist’s second War clear. New items obtained afterward require another clear or skip of that route’s War to register. Picking them up in Part 1 alone has not updated the Ark.
Decide which characters, animals, and weapons to develop before entering Part 3. If animals or equipment disappear, check equipped character versions and the Sacred Ark first. The proposed workaround of carrying items through on characters has no tested result yet.
The Nameless requires another branch-temple conversation
Restore Credna's temple, accept and complete the quest, report it, then return to Credna's branch temple in Dagsion and speak to the god. Leaving after restoration or reporting misses the upgrade conversation for The Nameless.
Check capacity before merging four item bags
When item bags merge on returning to Dagsion, exceeding the limit deletes lower-value items first. The material bag does not share the same item-type limit. One two-route example already held 841/999, so merging all four may lose substantial basic supplies. The definition of low value and full deletion order are unclear. Leave space even for basic items you want, and dispose of duplicate cheap equipment as needed before merging.
For characters, try to keep Aswan and Tahonia alive in War Chapter 3. Keep Klapka alive in Part III Stage 5's Mahadu battle, and complete Theodora's Parts I and II beforehand. See Eight Part III recruits for joining stages and survival requirements.
Calculate the replay cost after missing something
Level-up growth results and Boons of Salvation choices cannot be freely reversed. Ordinary quest deadlines, dialogue, and character choices can usually be adjusted through chapter restarts or other replay options, at the cost of replaying earlier progress.
Restarting returns training, items, and story progress to the chapter's opening. Dietrich's Fabio events may require several consecutive replays. Replaying Part I Chapter 12 updates War's starting data. Restart War using those new Part I results; do not expect an existing late-game save to update automatically.
- 1Identify the omission:Is it an event, a companion, or a stored item?
- 2Check for another window:Confirm whether a second opportunity exists.
- 3Choose the restart chapter:Decide where to return and whether you must play onward continuously.
- 4Check later records:Finally review the Part 2 starting record and Part 3 Sacred Ark.
