Renown: level 1–12 unlocks and rewards on all four routesMinor spoilers
Renown 4 unlocks Specialty certification; 8 unlocks Advanced certification, baths, and theater performances. The queen’s Renown 5 unlocks Inspirational Speeches, higher-tier Battalion recruitment, and more exploration dispatches. All route unlocks, new shop stock, and request rewards are listed.

Renown 4 opens Specialty exams and 8 opens Advanced exams. You still need the required character level, proficiency, licenses, and other exam conditions.
Each of the four protagonist routes accumulates Renown separately: Cai expands instruction and cultivation, Dietrich advances challenge letters, Theodora expands recruitment and dispatch, and Leda unlocks new tavern goods.
Renown 7 unlocks watching plays, while 8 opens public baths and theater performances. Certification Exams also depend on pass rates. Route-exclusive features unlock through the story first, then expand with Renown.
Feasts, unlocked at Renown 2, cost ingredients and 1 turn each. They restore HP and spell uses and build supports during expeditions. See that section for ingredient recovery values and the requirements for holding consecutive Feasts.
See recruitment requirements for the Renown, Support, and negotiation conditions for recruiting.

Theodora’s speeches and dispatch unlocks
Renown 5 brings three changes at once: Inspirational Speeches on the world map, recruitment of higher-tier Battalions, and +1 simultaneous exploration dispatch. Renown 7 and 9 further raise Battalion tiers and each add 1 more simultaneous exploration dispatch.

Using an Inspirational Speech at a troop recruitment location makes higher-tier Battalions more likely to gather. Recruitment accumulates over turns. Exploration dispatches can cover more gathering points at once. Higher Battalion tiers and better location compatibility yield more materials, making dispatches useful alongside war-preparation quests.
The Battalion system also has story milestones: Chapter 4 unlocks equipping Battalions and combat Gambits, Chapter 5 unlocks exploration dispatches, Chapter 6 unlocks troop recruitment, and Chapter 7 lets you transport surplus Battalions in exchange for Tactics Manuals. The extra dispatch slot at Renown 5 is for world-map exploration dispatches. See Exploration dispatches for gathering caps by Battalion tier, location compatibility, and restrictions while deployed.
Leda’s tavern products and performance chain
Local performances award Renown, ingredients, and secret locations. The tavern’s new-product quests form a four-step chain at Renown 3, 6, 8, and 10. Each step requires finishing the previous one and delivering the corresponding Leaf. Reaching the required Renown does not directly award Blaze Arts or classes.

How much Renown do main quests, audiences, and requests give?
- 1Accept protagonist-exclusive requests first each chapter. If only a little Renown is missing, calculate the gap before adding another battle.
- 2Combine deliveries, performances, and exploration in the same direction.
- 3At Renown 2 with a god present, add an audience when returning to the capital.
Exclusive requests often combine Renown with gold, materials, or a class.
| Source | Renown gain | Conditions and planning |
|---|---|---|
| Complete a chapter’s main quest | 500 points | May not appear in the reward list; normal progression provides steady gains |
| Divine audience | 50 per audience | From Renown 2, speak to reception while the god is present. Check calendar dates and the yellow temple icon; costs no turn or time |
Bertrand’s special match in Theodora Chapter 6 | 500 points | Return to the capital at 18:00 on April 6 to enter |
| Ordinary requests | 10–200 points | Report before the deadline; small tutorial quests can give 10 |
Cai’s help requests | 100–200 points | 26 requests give 100, 130, 180, or 200 each; instruction also gives equipment, gold, or classes |
Dietrich’s challenge letters | 150 per letter | Nine in sequence, with further challenges at Renown 3–10 |
Theodora’s military preparation | 100–350 per request | Check orders each chapter, dispatch first, then buy missing materials. Each also gives 5,500G |
Leda’s local performances and tavern requests | 150–200 each | Local performances also give Leaves and secret locations used for new tavern goods |
| Paralogues | 150 each | All nine also give 20,000G. Protect acceptance and completion deadlines first |
Dietrich’s Blade Resonance encounters | Usually 10–30 | Gain alongside recruitment materials and experience; dedicated farming has slow, small returns |
| Theater performances | Depends on the result | Opens at Renown 8. Watching and performing share one weekly use, so watching first prevents performing that week |
Repeatedly farming Bladesong battles early adds only 10–30 Renown per fight and can stretch a chapter out considerably. By Chapters 5 and 6, main quests begin awarding large amounts. Unless you need immediate certification, recruitment, or passage, complete the route-specific requests as you progress. When you already need giant materials, collect the encounter’s Renown alongside them.

Part 3 Salvation level and facility restoration
From Section 2 of the Salvation story, Salvation level replaces Renown. Defeating Underworld soldiers on the world map or in dungeons, completing Part 3 requests, and delivering materials to restore temples and towns all raise it. Town shops also require local restoration before they can be used. Each level awards an Advanced Manual; Salvation levels 5 and 10 additionally award
Shoes of the Wind, which permanently increases Movement by +1 when used.
| Request | Materials delivered | Unlock | Salvation points |

| Lost Flavors of the Capital | Building Materials ×2 | Reopens dining | 100 |
| Aiding in Prayer | Building Materials ×7 | Improves Divine Service | 100 |
| Returned Flavors of the Capital | Building Materials ×5 | Improves dining | 100 |
| Arena Reconstruction Effort Part II | Building Materials ×20 | Improves training | 100 |
Theodora’s army can also use restoration dispatches to shorten the turns needed to restore a base. The Part 1 facility table for Renown 1–12 no longer replaces restoration requests. Complete the relevant quests separately to restore and improve training, dining, and Divine Service.
Renown after switching protagonists or restarting
Starting another protagonist’s Part 1 means earning Renown again on that route. Previously developed supports and Renown are tracked separately. Restart Chapter reverts Renown earned during that chapter and closes newly unlocked features again. Continue forward to preserve the chapter’s gains.
