The goddess of fate lets you choose a reunion
The mission is complete. What comes next should be your own decision. The goddess of fate asks the Promised One to picture the person they most want to see, focusing until the figure becomes clear, then returns them to that person’s side. After reunion, the question shifts from saving the world to continuing life.
Cai and Tialla watch over peace
Cai most wants the Promised One to see life returning to the city. Smiles are more common, and people no longer fear netherfiends, but others still suffer outside. He wants enough strength to protect this peace and truly fight alongside them someday. Even if their paths separate temporarily, they promise to battle together again.
Tialla still wonders whether a better strategy could have kept the Promised One from staying in the Underworld. Only confirmation of their safety lifts that guilt. She invites them home to meet her grandfather, discuss books and tactics, and enjoy the peace that has finally arrived.
Peter and Ultand long for their return
Unable to find the missing Promised One,
Peter tries sounding a signal, hoping they can still hear. He once dared to patrol alone because he believed someone would rescue him in danger. Their disappearance took that courage away. Finally reunited, he asks them to stay beside him always. Even the whistle seems unnecessary now.
Ultand travels praying with fish and vegetable soup. Her lost sister once found her by following its smell, so she hopes the same method will bring the Promised One back. The most precious postwar days are those when everyone lives, cooks, eats, sleeps, and sometimes faces new trouble together. Reunion begins with a hot pot of soup.
Dietrich and Fabio choose to accompany you
Dietrich originally sought only satisfying battles, with little interest in the world’s fate. Meeting the Promised One kept him in the war to save it, and he has no regrets. Hearing that his strength is still needed, he agrees to travel alongside them, though first there must be a duel.
Fabio knows returning from the Underworld requires a miracle, yet still dislikes bowing to divine favor. But ending their time together would not make him happy either. Since the Promised One chooses to keep helping others, he chooses to keep helping them. Traveling together finally rests on both their own wishes.
Mikaela and the Queen protect the future
Mikaela tests them with an opening attack, easing her worry only after confirming the familiar person before her. One person did not save everyone in the war; everyone stood up. If the Promised One keeps fighting, she will join, protecting a future for the children alive today.
Theodora finds no immediate rest after war. Welcoming humanity’s age brings new responsibility and a long, difficult road. She wants the Promised One beside her until she sees that age arrive. Her arm’s cost leaves her unsure how much time remains, making their days together more precious.
Leda and Sirocco set out
Leda once found comfort in the hate-filled song that cursed the world. She knew who caused the catastrophe, yet heard her own heart echoed in it. After the war, the song finally disappears. She decides to tour the land and ease war’s pain through music.
For the first time, the next performance comes from her own will. Leaving revenge’s melody behind, she hopes her true feelings reach the person before her and places farther away.
Sirocco admits that the Promised One’s absence made even his passionate self feel cold and afraid. Seeing that they still want to travel, he stops pretending indifference and plainly asks to go together, blowing across the world like the wind.
New lives for Olympia and Loretta
Olympia once centered her life on the flower title others bestowed, believing that living up to it made her life worthwhile. She later understood that receiving a title and truly growing are different. She gives it up and decides to bloom through living well. Her own name is enough to represent her.
Loretta finally decides to build an orphanage for children who lost their families. She admits she does not know where to start and has much to learn, inviting the Promised One to help. The goal is concrete: establish the orphanage together, and never disappear without a word again.
Benditz’s eyepatch hides his past
Benditz finally discusses his days of lying, cheating, and stealing, then falling into hardship after expulsion from the temple. His eyepatch commemorates no heroic wound. It keeps people who know his past from recognizing him.
He now decides to accept that past instead of hiding. He still wants to become a general and retains extravagant ambitions, but this time plans to follow the Promised One and learn to live as a better person.
Returning home, rebuilding, and more adventures
Guzran jokes in his immortal mercenary style, writing himself into the world-saving finale. Hearing that the Promised One will continue helping people, he plans to keep living and adventuring too, asking them to find him when needed again.
Io returns home to face the corruption that disappointed him and practice his knightly ideal of protecting people. The Promised One looks toward the whole world; he starts with his country. If loneliness comes, they are welcome to visit.
Catania still complains that saving the world brought neither fame nor the ideal partner. Invited to travel together, she seriously agrees to mutual trust and growing old together.
Majide becomes a temple
Soldier, keeping order in a city still unsettled after war. He no longer waits for others to grant his wish and intends to rise through work. Others stay to rebuild or return home to care for those hurt by war. Saving the world is over; the lives they want are only beginning.
