Recommended Part 2 allies: Mu for bosses, two fliers, and ranged healingMinor spoilers
Mu and Leda’s extra action strip boss health bars. Fliers hunt the back line, archers handle evasive and flying enemies, and armor plus two ranged healers hold the line.

In Part 2, fill boss damage, back-line attacks, physical tanking, and ranged healing first. Mu with Leda's extra actions can strip boss HP bars quickly; fliers reach the rear, archers handle aerial targets, and healers stay safe.
Roles for a Part 2 party
After finishing
Leda’s Part 2, I kept thirteen units including
Leda. The later stages are hard, and one damage dealer is not enough. You need someone to end boss fights quickly, someone to flank healers, someone to block enemy groups, and ranged healing that can keep up.
Olympia sustains with Nosferatu; Mu breaks bosses
Olympia has healing,
Physic, and offensive spells such as
Thunder. Her most convenient tool is early
Nosferatu, dealing magic damage while restoring her HP. She can survive in enemy groups for a while in Part 1. Part 2 enemies are stronger, so stop charging carelessly: she must survive the first hit before countering to drain HP.
Mu is my top recommendation for main damage.
Signs of Growth makes him stronger through training, and his Attack, Hit, and Avoid stand out in this party. Past the thirties, he can remove one health bar from most nonarmored bosses in a single hit. Kills grant EXP, levels make bosses easier, and the advantage grows.
For bosses with several bars, let Mu attack, have
Leda dance, then attack again to remove two bars in one turn. Finish quickly instead of dragging things out. Taking fewer rounds of attacks makes later fights easier.
Catania flanks; Lilian hits reliably
Make
Catania a
Wing Soldier to cross obstacles and kill rear healers. Part 2 has many awkward detours, and fliers can directly reach mages deep inside. But bows can kill her in one hit. Locate archers before committing. Kalla's Blessing helps her remove threats first.
I use
Lilian as a
Sniper, with a clear difference in displayed Hit:
| Unit | Displayed Hit |
|---|---|
| Other units | Around 100 |
Lilian | Around 140 |
Some enemy
Shido units hit hard and are difficult to hit. Her shots are reassuring against them. Flying enemies also become common in Part 2, so keep two or three bow users. Reliably finishing a target feels much better than high damage that misses.
Buccar and Esmeralda
Buccar is a durable axe attacker. Upgrade
Velheit in Part 1 to fix accuracy so he can keep contributing damage. If his weapon falls behind, endgame becomes awkward: he tanks worse than
Esmeralda and attacks worse than
Bertrand.
Take Esmeralda from
Armored Knight to
Dreadnought. Her job is to enter enemy groups and block them, or pin large units such as war elephants and golems. She relies on toughness and need not abandon shields, heavy accessories, or heavy lances for Attack Speed and Avoid. She can use a weight-twenty lance that burdens fliers, and consecutive throwing moves give her ranged opportunities too.
Loretta and Nuzzuo switch weapons for each target
Loretta has high Avoid and uses physical and magical attacks. Give her a physical sword,
Levin Sword, and
Cleansing Blade, then switch by enemy. Levin Sword is especially useful against armor and for removing a boss’s remaining HP. As a sword attacker, she feels as good as
Guzran, perhaps even smoother.
Nuzzuo joins as a
Rogue, and I later use
Ranger for swords and bows. Rogue helps exploration, and he carried a Levin Sword when I recruited him. His combat Avoid is good too. Let him handle ordinary enemies and switch to bows for fliers, though armor is difficult for him alone.
Alexandra and Tialla provide support
Use
Alexandra as another
Wing Soldier to reach distant
Bishop units. She can also use weapons requiring sword proficiency. Bringing her with
Catania eases obstacle crossing and back-line hunting; if one runs into trouble, the other can continue. Both fear bows. Being able to reach a tile does not mean they can survive there.
Tialla’s job is
Physic. The party needs two ranged healers, so another Physic user can fill this slot. Tialla’s damage and Avoid are unremarkable, and one hit may kill her. Position her to take none.
Creek breaks tough targets; Sirocco adds sustain
Creek joins through quests on particular routes and offers excellent Attack, Avoid, and cavalry mobility. Like Mu and
Loretta, he clears ordinary enemies and fights bosses. On a route without his quest, consider
Guzran for the sword-attacker role.
Sirocco is a strong magic attacker, especially against armor, and survives one counter more easily than
Olympia or
Tialla. Train swords for
Levin Sword to combine sword and spell use.
Goddess’s Favor restores 5 HP after combat, providing excellent sustain between engagements.
