Free-action and calendar planning: make each month countMinor spoilers
Mark deadlines and return dates first. Train before restoring Motivation in town, and combine quests in the same direction into one trip. Use Saturday and Sunday for two rounds when time allows; protect paralogues when time is tight.

In Part 1, reserve time for paralogues and the return trip before weekly activities. Accept requests in the same direction before leaving town to avoid repeated trips for small tasks.
- Spend Motivation in town before restoring it. Train and perform temple service first, then eat or use other recovery activities. If Motivation runs short, restore enough for the next activity rather than waiting until everything is finished.
- Accept requests before leaving town, and group objectives in one direction. Combine the story destination, timed quests, convenient gathering, and reporting into one trip.
- With time to spare, use the old week’s attempts on Saturday and the new week’s on Sunday. When time is tight, do what you can today and leave. Missing an ordinary weekly activity is easier to accept than losing a recruitment prerequisite.
Part 1 follows a monthly cycle, Part 2 emphasizes battle preparation, and Part 3 follows reconstruction and subjugation phases. In Part 3, visiting a subjugation target early and waiting for the deadline does not complete it.
Reschedule dates at the start of each chapter’s free action. Follow the order below, or use the short version if only a few days remain.
Which three things come first this month?
Record deadlines, accept quests, and set monthly goals. Accept quests before automating or traveling far so you know which dates require a return and which turns are available for training. Watching only the main-story countdown can miss a shorter window hidden in town.
Do not give birthdays, gathering bonus days, discounts, and timed paralogues equal priority. Protect windows that can cost you content first, then add birthdays for units you want to train and battles you want to spectate. Use gathering bonuses along the way, and fit ordinary activities into the time left.
See the missables checklist and individual paralogue walkthroughs for specific events. For weekly activity limits, see free time and Renown.

Alternate town activities with expeditions
Cycle through town activities → a group of outdoor objectives → return and report. You need not reserve every Sunday for the Imperial Capital. On longer expeditions, combining adjacent weeks’ activities on Saturday and Sunday leaves continuous travel time. Neither day can have a more urgent timed event, and the relevant charges must remain available.
| Monthly point | Order | When to move on |
|---|---|---|
| Chapter/new free-action period | Check log/calendar → accept quests and check hidden events → record recruitment/class goals | You know the next hard deadline, return date, and date-skipping dialogue |
| First town session | Train and perform Divine Service according to Motivation → restore gaps → gifts/meals for targets → resupply | Available timed town errands are handled |
| First trip | For an outdoor Part 1 main objective, include an actual visit and green checkmark; combine same-direction quests, gathering, and exclusive actions | Essentials are done or the planned turnaround point is reached; do not add a distant gathering detour |
| Return day | Report where required → check events, recruitment, and charges → train and recover | Rewards/follow-ups are confirmed, not merely the quest item collected |
| Saturday/Sunday if possible | Use old-week charges Saturday → short lodging/automatic activity → new round Sunday daytime → leave | No timed window is crossed; menus and Motivation permit it |
| Remaining gaps | Finish necessary tasks, then automate only without a goal, stopping before the next errand | Do not skip a paralogue, match, or weekly activity you need |
| Before main story/part transition | Check accepted quest reports, available supports, weapons, and carried items; confirm next battle | Do not make pointless trips just to spend all turns |
Repeat the cycle more often if the chapter allows, but you do not need to wait until Saturday to act. Leave first if a quest is about to expire on the opening day. If you are already in town on Sunday, do not wait another week just to fit “two rounds.”
- 1Accept quests as the chapter begins:check deadlines.
- 2Train and recover today only if there is time:ensure this will not consume the travel and reporting time for timed objectives. Leave first if it would. Training at the current price is fine; do not wait for a discount until travel becomes impossible.
- 3Handle timed objectives directly:report back as directed by the log.
- 4Use the turns left:consider weekly or automated activities.
How do you avoid wasting Motivation in town?
Check people before facilities. Motivation has three segments and is used for training and temple service. A weekly reset does not refill everyone. List the units you want to train this round and restore Motivation when needed. Otherwise, full-Motivation units may use the meals before those who actually need them get a menu.
| Current need | Suggested plan | Unit selection |
|---|---|---|
| Class requirement skills | Prioritize matching arena training | Pair high and low ranks in that skill; skill rank, not character level, matters |
| Blessing growth | Reserve Motivation for Divine Service, then choose your target blessing | Check whether training uses the same person; do not travel repeatedly just to visit every temple |
| Desired recruit absent from meals | Give a gift to establish contact, then check guests | Seat the route protagonist with the target, not just two other allies |
| One unit lacks Motivation | Restore enough with a liked gift or other means | Plan one gift per person per week; do not use the opportunity on unrelated units first |
| Several units lack Motivation or the team lacks HP/spell uses | Check meal coverage; consider lodging if insufficient | Preferences, actual recovery effects, and team gaps |
| Only current core units need recovery | Do not exhaust every entertainment type | Add theater/baths only after unlocking and choose by actual benefit |
Pair high and low ranks in the target training skill to fix weaknesses. See class exams and fast proficiency training for courses and thresholds; do not train unrelated abilities instead.
For recruitment, reserve meals for the pair that needs relationship growth. A first gift adds the target to invitations; seat the route protagonist with them. One activity then supports recruitment and recovery, avoiding a weeks-long Support shortfall after reaching Renown. Each dish has one use; do not assume an early menu has the mid/late-game dish count.
Treat Sunday’s reset and daytime business hours separately. A new week may have started after midnight while training is still unavailable. Advance to daytime with a short automated activity or lodging, then check the menu; do not leave training until late at night. Budget for Sunday’s half price and use Saturday for old-week activities you actually need.

How do you combine quests into fewer trips?
Group trips by destination and confirm endings in the quest log. Accept quests and finish town deliveries first, then combine outdoor objectives, materials, and exclusive actions in one direction. Ordinary quests may require reporting after their map objective. Items or kills do not replace the last log step. Paralogues resolve individually; they do not all need an extra town report.
Record these four details before leaving instead of just the quest name:
| What to record | Travel plan |
|---|---|
| Acceptance location and prerequisites | Confirm you have accepted the quest; an unaccepted entry point is not completed preparation |
| Destination and required items | Group objectives in the same direction. If no road between locations has been confirmed, plan the actual journey first |
| Latest reporting/completion date | Include the return trip and time to deliver items if required |
| What the trip unlocks | Prioritize recruitment prerequisites, routes, and transport unlocks before ordinary rewards |
Count stops and action turns rather than straight-line map distance. A turn is six hours; four turns make a day. Stopping midway still spends that turn. Unlocked stations and Divine Path Gates help, but confirm they are usable now rather than assuming visibility means access. See world map.
For a hypothetical budget, suppose travel there and back plus required actions take eight turns, lodging adds one, and you reserve two more: eleven turns total. Eleven turns equal two days and eighteen hours, so leave at least that early. Eight, one, and two are hypothetical; calculate each real quest separately. Recalculate using current roads, stops, and hourglasses shown in the menus.
Free-action HP and spell uses do not refill every battle. Choose resupply stops before dungeon farming. If returning to report anyway, combine lodging and weeklies. Actually visit outdoor Part 1 main destinations and check their green checkmarks. Seeing the node or canceling at the entrance is insufficient insurance for automatic arrival at the deadline.

Why shorten trips in September and October?
In busy paralogue periods, schedule town entrances and date-skipping conversations before expeditions. Several events can appear to have time left, yet one conversation advances the date and removes travel time for another. Do not put all deadlines at month-end.
| Timing and route | How to schedule the trip | What to avoid |
|---|---|---|
Early September on Dietrich’s route | Accept Leda- and Theodora-related paralogues, then handle tasks outside town; finish with date-advancing dialogue | Automating activities to September 9 first may skip an entry point |
September 17 on Dietrich’s route | Return to the capital early and prioritize Bertrand’s one-day paralogue window | It opens only that day on this route; schedule around this route’s window |
Late October on Dietrich’s route | Finish Orchel’s paralogue outside town before returning for Cai-related dialogue | Skipping to October 23 first may leave too little travel time |
October on Leda’s route | Start checking paralogue entry points in early October. Check the next group again on the 18th; finish available tasks before designated date events | Accept October’s paralogues individually before advancing the date |
These are scheduling examples. For full acceptance/completion windows, see the paralogue list and route walkthroughs: Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda. Accept early, finish ahead of time, and leave spare travel time.
How does planning change across four routes and three parts?
Part 1 town routines are similar, but outdoor purposes differ. Skip facilities and exclusive actions not unlocked on your route. Do not search everywhere to copy a table. See side quests and route-exclusive quests.
| Part 1 route | Outdoor priorities to combine | Monthly focus |
|---|---|---|
Cai | Capturing, cultivation, helping quests | Plant along frequent routes; prioritize the carriage unlock to reduce backtracking |
Dietrich | Challenge letters, encounters, hidden events | Shorten expeditions around paralogues; allow separate time for town acceptance and advancing dialogue |
Theodora | War supplies, recruitment, dispatches | Check monthly material needs, then combine gathering with the main route instead of one trip per missing item |
Leda | Tavern quests, regional performances | Accept in town, combine performances and nearby goals, then check follow-ups on return |
| Progress | Planning unit | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Early Part 1 | Each free-action period/week | Available training, recruitment relationships, and routes; establish a small repeatable cycle |
| End of Part 1 | Main-story/part transitions | Paralogues, unlocked conversations, qualifications, equipment; actually view conversations, not just reach the rank |
| Part 2 War Arc | Each battle preparation | Roles and supplies for consecutive battles; fewer Part 1 exploration/recovery options mean you should fix gaps before entering |
| Part 3 Promised One’s story | Each section’s reconstruction/subjugation period | Repair transport/temples first; materials still need turns to take effect. During subjugation, reserve route-clearing and target-killing time |
You can still gain stats and take exams in Part 2, but it has fewer development options than Part 1. For what to carry across, see the pre-Part 2 and pre-Part 3 checklist. For chapter preparation, see the War story walkthrough.
Part 3 transport repairs shorten later team journeys, but reconstruction is not instant on delivery, and repaired temples still need follow-up quests. During subjugation, actually defeat targets before the deadline. Follow the current log; see Promised One’s story walkthrough.

Use gaps for quests and skills without skipping events
Handle a clear objective first; use automated activities when there is none. One approach uses spare time to search for items, with income and resources varying by squad size. Another briefly trains a proficiency that is close to ranking up, then returns to searching after reaching the required rank. Search when short on money and train briefly when short on proficiency. Calculate income for your squad size.
| Common approach | Problem | Adjustment |
|---|---|---|
| Automate straight to main story | Weeklies, matches, and events occur midway | Stop at the next intended task and recheck the calendar |
| Travel far home for one activity every week | Trips squeeze out timed quests and continuous exploration | Return when nearby; combine Saturday/Sunday on expeditions and skip ordinary activities you cannot reach |
| Dine at full Motivation | Recovery goes to units without a gap | Check trainees and restore while spending |
| Feed a recruit with other allies only | The route protagonist’s relationship does not improve | Seat the actual pair you need |
| Feed mounts only on weekly days | Feeding resets daily | Add a separate daily check |
| Leave after the objective without checking log | Reports/deliveries may remain | Confirm completion and follow-ups in town |
| Restart for missables after all chapter training | Growth, money, items, and progress roll back | Judge whether the content merits replaying; restart is not a normal weekly reset |
Level grinding, Support grinding, and rerolling growth each have their own costs. Consult efficient farming, Support training, and level-up previewing and rerolling when needed. Protect timed content and team development first, then farm to fill specific gaps.
