Train Black Magic before Cai becomes a Caladrius

Cai can progress through Ornius Rider, Armored Ornius Rider, and Caladrius. Use a Meganius or Red Meganius early while feeding the Black Magonius you will use later. Switch both class and mount when the time comes.

The Caladrius Black Magic requirement

Black Magic is the easiest requirement to overlook. Caladrius needs Black Magic B, so train it ahead of time even while using physical weapons. Cai’s Blaze damage needs Magic. Developing it supports his abilities and also opens a spellcasting direction.

Healing roles and Peter’s chariot

Cai lacks healing early, so keep Tialla on a straightforward white-magic path. After level 35, consider Troubadour with a Monoceros to improve stats. If Defense is lacking, use armored training on another route.

For Peter, I recommend trying Charioteer at level 20 with a Ferghanan Horse. Combining mount and class significantly improves HP and Defense, giving this archer more staying power. Do not drive into a group of mages, though. Enduring physical hits does not mean he can tank magic.

Ultand can develop both black and white magic, with Troubadour also an option at level 35. He can join several routes fairly early, leaving considerable room for later training.

Mounted training and terrain Avoid

Guzran can improve Defense with Armored Ornius Rider and a Red Meganius. Black and white magic are weaknesses, however, so a later Caladrius needs extra training. If you do not want to spend much effort on magic exams, choose Shido or Forest Knight instead.

Yang Jie continues healing on this route. Riding is a weakness and takes effort, but Troubadour remains an option later.

Noctula can use Wild Ornius’s Paired Stealth. At mount bond level 3, fighting on favorable terrain grants Avoid +10. This needs terrain support, so include grass and other favorable positions when choosing where to stand.

Choose mounts around missing stats

Majide lacks Speed, Dexterity, and Resistance compared with Strength. Start with Ornius classes, then move to Cataphract. For Mikaela, choose between a Ferghanan Horse and Monoceros according to the stats you want. If another route already improved Defense, cover Resistance or another weakness here.

Start Seteth with Armored Ornius Rider and a Red Meganius, then develop toward Dragoon and a Wild Bau. Feeding mounts takes time. Instead of changing plans whenever another one appears, raise the one your next step needs.

On Cai’s route, Ninae can try Wing Soldier and a Falicorn to cover stats neglected by her armored route, then combine the results later.

Complementary training across routes

Nydine can start Ornius Rider and Armored Ornius Rider, then enter Caladrius, using mounts to supplement growths.

Nezha and Nuzzuo take fast offensive paths elsewhere. Here, chariots and Ferghanan Horses can improve Defense. Esmeralda can use Wing Soldier for Speed and Dexterity. Alexandra takes the opposite approach, using chariots for Defense.

Goliath cannot ride horses or enter flying classes. To improve Resistance or Speed, look at grounded magic or sword classes. Dadao wants his Attack bonus when neither side can follow up. He can still use an Ornius path to improve Speed first, then plan around actual Attack Speed differences in combat.

Pair Loretta with a Dark Pegasus here to develop Magic. That is the point of Cai’s route: direct mounts’ strengths toward each character’s greatest needs for the later route merge. Do not repeat the same stat training on every route.
