Build Leda's route around nine characters, prioritizing concentrated strengths and little remedial training. Leda can become a fast mage and Mu a flier. Routes spanning many subjects can be strong once developed but carry heavier training costs.

A nine-unit army reduces training work

Nine regularly trained units are enough for Leda's route. More people mean more training and equipment management, which becomes tiring. All story companions are trainable; choose a few later recruits to fill gaps. The priority here is ease of development. Everyone can be strong once finished, but training several weak skills feels very different from following natural strengths.

Build Leda as a fast mage

Leda has very high Speed growth, with thirty-five in both Strength and Magic. Following Hunter and Rogue produces impressive Speed and Avoid, letting her stand forward later, but low Strength may leave physical damage behind. Levin Sword handles armor more comfortably than forcing physical hits.

Following Shaman, Ovate, and Druid builds Magic while keeping her very fast. Sword is already a strength. Use Levin Sword at a high enough sword rank, or Salamander before that. Black Magic A is for Druid; when pursuing later Divine masteries, I would prioritize finishing sword training. A fast mage handles armor and damages other enemies more easily too.

Buccar holds the armored front line

Buccar's highest stats are HP, Strength, and Defense, with low Speed. There is no need to force him into a fast-attacker role. Follow Armored Knight into Castle Knight for a reliable physical frontliner. Prioritize lances for cavalry. His solid Strength and Defense let him both hit and tank.

If movement feels slow, consider Great Knight later to combine armored Defense with cavalry mobility. Still watch mages: shrugging off physical enemies does not mean magic attacks are the same.

Sirocco combines black and white magic

Sirocco has forty growth in both Strength and Magic, plus good Speed, Dexterity, and Luck. Physical training works, but magic damage is more straightforward. I would take Diviner, Shaman, Ovate, and Druid. Use black magic early, then Levin Sword at Sword C. Continue magic training toward Druid's proficiency requirement.

He offers more than damage: white magic includes Fortify and Warp. Damage, evasion, and those tools give him more reason for a roster slot than his Magic stat alone.

Flying needs less training than War Monk for Mu

Mu has well-rounded HP, Strength, Speed, and Dexterity growths. For War Monk, take Gladiator and Pugilist into Shido, then War Monk to use swords and gauntlets. White magic is worth training, especially Warp at A. Do not stop after raising Gauntlet.

However, this also requires swords and white magic. If that burden feels heavy as a newcomer, choose flying: Ornius Rider, Armored Ornius Rider, and finally Bau Lord. Insert advanced Dragoon if its certification is unlocked; otherwise stay in Armored Ornius Rider. Mainly train lances and flying, and Strength, Speed, and HP keep pace without fixing weaknesses everywhere. Mu's appeal is becoming a useful flier without much fuss.

Keep Olympia healing or switch to damage

Olympia has high Magic, Luck, and Charm but low Speed. I favor Priest, Bishop, and Wiseman. White Magic B gives Physic and S gives Silence. High Magic supports strong healing, and the development plan is simple.

Healing tradeoffs in High Savant

She can also enter High Savant for black-magic and magic-weapon damage, but needs extra Sword and Riding training. This class cannot use white magic, so healing and related abilities become unavailable. Keeping a steady healer is more straightforward on the original Priest path.

Flying Catania needs more Strength

Catania is available as early as Chapter 4. She has thirty-five in both Strength and Magic and fifty-five Speed growth. A fast-mage build can follow Leda's example. Continuing flying exposes a physical-damage problem: surviving does not mean clearing quickly. Even low-Hit enemies become dangerous after enough attempts. Ideally, one counterattack should finish them.

For physical flying, train axes and master The Eternal for Divine Might to add Strength. You also need the sword or lance requirements of the target flying class, increasing training work. The magic route is more comfortable partly because Salamander is useful. Against high-Protection, low-Resistance enemies, you need not force weak Strength through their defenses.

Jasmine for armor and Fianna for healing

Jasmine is cheap to recruit on Leda's route.

Her Hit modifiers suit armored counterattacks. Follow armor classes, mainly using lances, and train axes only enough for hammer weapons. Her Strength and Defense are below Buccar's but still sufficient for the front line. Armored Move also partly fixes slow movement.

Do not send Fianna forward. Low Speed and Defense make even one late-game hit dangerous. If training her, keep Priest, Bishop, and Wiseman behind the line to heal. She lacks Physic, so you can combine Regenera with Gift of Faith, though this is less convenient than direct ranged healing. Riding aptitude alone does not justify a detour through Cai's route for her; the return is not outstanding.

Use Loretta's Avoid for a fast mage

Loretta gains Avoid above half HP, then combines it with another Avoid ability. Those conditions are easier than maintaining a huge Attack Speed lead. Restore lost HP with ranged healing to preserve her advantage. Both Strength and Magic are usable, and Speed is good. A magic route using Salamander or Levin Sword fits well. Sword C enables Levin Sword. Consider Black Magic S mastery later, but if Magic already suffices, do not keep adding investment solely for mastery.

Natural paths for Simon and others

Simon develops smoothly without much extra investment; Ludia is similar. Ludia has relatively low Strength growth and good Speed. Staying only in Swordmaster can worsen the Strength gap. I would take Warrior into Battlemaster, using class growths to improve Strength while retaining swords.

Inyoni is strong in bows, gains Strength with a bow equipped, and adds attack and Critical to bow combat arts. Rogue, Ranger, and Shadow Seeker provide better Speed. Later, Bow Adept can improve accuracy consistency. With both Strength and Speed performing well, he trains smoothly. If Leda becomes a mage, the army lacks an archer, fitting him perfectly.

Recruit Halvin with Dates and train chariots

Halvin is strong in Bow and Riding, making Charioteer convenient on Cai's route. Recruitment requires ten Dates. Save before buying Vegetable Crate, then open it. Reload if it contains no Dates. Once one appears, multiply it through planting and the total is easy to reach.

Charioteer only uses bows, but his good Dexterity and Luck, plus useful Speed, offer another chance at a critical when he follows up. Train Bow and Riding to certification requirements first, then add mount growths. This is another path without detours through many additional skills.
