Dietrich and Leda training: develop early core allies, then recruit for missing rolesMinor spoilers
Use swords for Dietrich and shift Leda toward support later. Train early arrivals first, then use different classes across two routes to cover weaknesses.

On both routes, train starting companions first, then consider recruits available at lower Renown levels. Earlier recruitment lets you choose the class for more of their level-ups. Late arrivals have already missed part of that training window.
Early recruitment gives more class-growth opportunities
When choosing a class, check growth rates first, then skill strengths and usable weapons.
Growth rates measure the chance of gaining the corresponding stat on level-up. HP growth 60 means a 60% chance of +1 HP. Gold beneath a subject means fast training; purple means slow. Highlighted subjects in the current class show usable weapons. Fighting with a bow builds bow and class-related experience. Higher proficiency then teaches combat arts, spells, or abilities.
Four core allies on Dietrich’s route
For
Dietrich, use Commoner →
Gladiator →
Myrmidon →
Shido →
Swordmaster. If Strength grows poorly, insert
Brigand for a while. High Dexterity and Speed support Hit, Critical, and follow-ups, with sword classes adding more Critical. Check healing conditions:
Ever Vigilant requires defeating an enemy with a critical hit. Pair it with
Sacred Gem for sustain.
Fabio has high Magic growth and follows
Shaman →
Ovate. Mire B reaches far, Death Γ favors critical hits, and Luna Λ handles high-Defense targets, giving him a broad black-magic toolkit.
Dark Calling lowers adjacent enemies’ Dodge, helping allies land critical hits. He arrives early on Dietrich’s route and deserves priority. On
Leda’s route he joins later alongside existing damage dealers, lowering his priority.
Esmeralda uses lances and armor to exploit Strength and Defense.
Throwing Arm, learned at level 20, raises
Pilum Hit and Attack. Add Double Throw for two damage strikes. Across two routes, train lances and armor on one and axes on another, or use
Caladrius to improve Speed and Resistance. Caladrius must first be unlocked on
Cai’s route.
Mikaela has a Bow strength but also advantages in close combat. She can improve accuracy, Redblade's Will suits adjacent combat, and
Absolute Defense requires armor. Use her on the melee frontline, then take
Warrior on another route to improve Speed. Both routes offer her relatively early, making two training runs practical.
Damage and support on Leda’s route
Leda has high Speed and can deal damage early. Use bows if Strength grows well or magic if Magic grows well. I favor Magic because magical classes offer good growth bonuses and
Levin Sword deals magical damage too. Later, Dance grants allies another action and support combat arts provide buffs. Support becomes her eventual focus.
Buccar has high Strength, Defense, and damage reduction, fitting physical tanking. After entering armor, use
Armored Move for positioning. Leave mages to others because his Resistance is low.
Sirocco can develop Strength and Magic and use swords or spells. I favor mage, with early healing as well.
Goddess’s Favor restores his own HP by 5 after combat; Avoid and other effects come from other abilities. He trains from early on in Leda’s route but arrives late on
Dietrich’s. Use
Theodora’s route for another training pass in a different direction.
Mu has good Strength and Speed and many physical skill strengths. I recommend swords. If Strength lags, add
Brigand or
Warrior, then use armor on a second route for Defense. Early joining provides more level-up benefits, making him worth training from Leda’s opening.
Build
Olympia around
Nosferatu, dealing damage while restoring her own HP. Critical when equipping magic comes from
Competitive Zeal, while improved Nosferatu Attack and Critical unlock by level. Use
Dreadnought on one of two routes to improve Defense, then return to a white-magic class.
Fill early recruitment gaps by role
Yang Jie has modest stats but joins very early on
Dietrich’s route. White Magic B gives ranged healing, letting her restore HP from a distance.
Catania relies on Speed. Train through
Myrmidon and
Shido, then
Dancer. Keep investing: Punishing Squall needs a 3-point Attack Speed lead for Hit, while the level-35 ability needs an 8-point lead for Avoid. Stop midway and lose the Speed advantage, and the whole setup weakens.
Io suits cavalry and can also become
Charioteer. Riding abilities work better on
Cai's route, but Io arrives late there; Dietrich's route is better for early training.
Guzran has high Speed and can use swords or gauntlets. This build favors swords, detouring through
Brigand and
Warrior if Strength is low.
Kiroc fills an early archer slot, but some abilities need status-afflicted enemies and team cooperation.
Jasmine suits armor, though
Leda’s route already has
Buccar, creating overlap.
Ultand can use white magic, but Patch Up requires standing beside allies, and the lack of ranged healing makes positioning stricter.
Spend resources on growth weaknesses first
Nydine relies on mounts and has low priority in this
Dietrich team.
Dadao has high Strength and satisfying axe burst, but low Dexterity and Speed mean landing hits comes first.
Fianna has very high Magic growth but low Dexterity and Speed, limiting follow-ups and critical hits. Try black-magic offense rather than only healing without ranged recovery.
Loretta suits a fast Avoid front line. Start with
Brigand for Strength, then return to
Shido or
Ranger.
Zarcone is cheap to recruit, but his Strength and Speed growths do not meet this team’s damage needs.
Goliath uses armor to pin adjacent enemies but has low Speed and Resistance.
Jester resembles a smaller Dietrich, with Speed for dodging and follow-ups but less attractive abilities.
Lysander can train Brigand for stats before returning to cavalry.
Noctula gains too little Avoid and has low Resistance, making frontline charges uncomfortable.
Simon’s chance to avoid death is not dependable survival either.
For dedicated healing, wait for
Sofia. She adds 10 to magical healing and supports the team from farther away.
| Level | Healing-magic Range bonus | |
|---|---|---|
| Level 20 | +1 | |
| Level 35 | +2 |
Training trade-offs for late arrivals
Sha Lan adjusts ally positions and raises Speed. She can train as a healer but arrives late.
Benditz uses Smash more often, and
Charioteer is useful, at the cost of lower growths.
Inyoni also fits chariots but remains more dependent on the mount environment.
Ursula needs heavy investment and Luck for extra damage, while high Speed supports an Avoid front line.
Gaitz has good growths and traits and can use
Guardian for white magic from the rear. He joins too late, though, so this team invested no further training.
