Feed the Pale Raven a common ingredient once each week. Answer all three lines correctly for a perfect rating and more bond progress between the chosen character and Eshmel.
Feed an ordinary ingredient once a week
Feed the Pale Raven an ordinary ingredient each week to raise the selected character’s bond with Eshmel. Three correct answers give more progress, but mistakes still provide a benefit.
Pale Raven interaction is the weekly “Feed the Pale Raven” activity at a perch. Choose a character, give an ingredient, and respond to three lines. Ingredient type does not affect the dialogue result, and there is no special reward exclusive to perfect answers. Use an ordinary ingredient you have in quantity.
Higher bonds with Eshmel make Support Salvation more likely in battle.
Why are common ingredients enough?
Rare materials can restore HP or be exchanged for strong weapons and accessories. Spending them to start a Pale Raven interaction does not grant more bond progress. Your reward depends on how many answers you get right, not the rarity of the ingredient.
Weekly attempts are limited, while material values can differ greatly. Focus on the answers and keep rare materials for exchanges that need them. Choose something plentiful and easy to replace.
How do you get every Pale Raven answer right?
Complete one Pale Raven conversation
- 1At a perch, choose the bond-deepening/feed menu. Perches in all regions work, but feeding is once per week in total, not once per perch. It appears after story progress opens free action.
- 2Choose a character to raise their bond with
Eshmel, then give an ordinary ingredient. - 3Match the current line to the character table below. Lines may vary each time; choose a response to the current question.
- 4Respond to all three lines in order, checking for the “seems very happy” message after a correct answer and the final rating afterward. All three must be correct for a perfect result. There is no response timer, so take your time comparing.
Return to step 1 next week. The total limit is once per week.
Nod when Cai asks whether his spear skills can surpass his father’s, and flap your wings when he mentions hide-and-seek. Choose for each line even with the same character, rather than repeating one response.
What does Support Salvation do?
Support Salvation has two situations. In grid-based battles, the Promised One may appear to block a lethal blow. In dungeon Clashes, aid may arrive when your team’s HP is very low and clear the enemy group. The recipient’s Bond Level affects the chance of this happening.
Position units assuming Salvation will not trigger; do not rely on it for survival. See bonds and support for general development and conversations. When feeding the raven, respond to the character’s topic.

Replaying a chapter rolls back its turns, money, inventory, levels, and other progress. See free time for the specific rules on retained bonds. Do not replay a chapter over one wrong answer without checking the consequences.
Perfect answers raise bonds; changing perches adds no attempts
Get all three answers right for a perfect result
- Feed once per week. Moving to another region’s perch does not add an attempt.
- A perfect result only grants more bond progress.
- Wrong answers still give bond progress, so the week is not completely wasted.
Pale Raven answers by character
The characters’ remarks can reveal parts of their backgrounds. “Sing a beautiful tune,” “Sing softly,” “Sing boldly,” and “Sing with vigor” are distinct options. “Nod” and “Nod timidly” are also different.
