Hidden Support Bonuses: Stack Critical, Hit, and Attack Speed through adjacencyMinor spoilers
Adjacent bonuses start at Bond Level two. Class bonuses grow through level five, and specific partners add Chain Bonuses on top.

Stack Critical through adjacent positions
Dietrich’s high Dexterity, personal ability, and
Shido Critical already give high critical rates. But the largest extra contribution to the opening 100% Critical came from teammates.
Esmeralda,
Ninae, and
Ursula all take
Myrmidon-line classes, reach Bond Level five with him, and stand adjacent. Each gives 10 Critical, totaling 30.
Esmeralda adds a 5 Critical Chain Bonus for 35 altogether.
Dietrich
Goliath can do this too. He has 5 Critical Chain Bonuses with both
Noctula and
Jester. Three
Myrmidon-line allies raise the total to 40 Critical. An armored tank can switch to
Shido and achieve very high critical rates too. However, his Speed growth remains low. This suits experimenting with critical builds rather than the simplest conventional class route.

Class bonuses increase with Bond Level
The class Support Bonus depends on the granting teammate’s current class. It starts at Bond Level two and grows to its maximum at level five.
| Teammate’s class line | Bonus at Bond Level five |
|---|---|
Myrmidon, Shido, Dancer | Avoid +5, Critical +10 |
Gladiator, Brigand, Pugilist, Warrior, Blacksmith | Hit +5, physical damage +3 |
Soldier, Armored Knight, Dreadnought, Guardian | Hit +5, Protection +3 |
Hunter, Archer, Rogue, Sniper, Ranger | Hit +10, Dodge +5 |
Diviner, Shaman, Ovate, Priest, Bishop, Troubadour | Magical damage +3, Resilience +3 |
Light Cavalry, Charioteer, Forest Knight, Bardinger, Cataphract | Physical damage +3, magical damage +3 |
Ornius Rider, Armored Ornius Rider, Wing Soldier, Caladrius, Dragoon | Hit +5, Avoid +10 |
To improve Hit or Avoid, look beyond fixed partners. Checking teammates’ classes reveals many possible combinations.

Chain Bonuses between specific partners
A Chain Bonus is an additional benefit between two specific characters. It unlocks at Bond Level two and does not improve further, but stacks with class bonuses. A partner portrait appears at the upper left of the combat forecast. Press X for details to find it.
Most Chain pairings match Support conversations, with exceptions.
Alexandra and
Sofia lack a conversation but have +1 Resilience.
Dietrich having a Critical chain with
Esmeralda does not mean
Fabio has one with
Esmeralda. Check every pair separately.
Characters with few Support conversations still receive class bonuses. Even without an extra 5 Critical, two or three
Myrmidon-line neighbors give 20 or 30 Critical.

Adjacent allies add Critical and Hit
Olympia can push
Nosferatu criticals further:
Leda as
Dancer gives 10 Critical,
Alexandra in a
Myrmidon-line class gives 10, and
Alexandra adds a 5 Critical Chain Bonus.
Leda and
Olympia have no Chain Bonus, but Dancer's 10 Critical still applies.
Olympia's
Competitive Zeal gives Critical +10 with magic equipped;
Ardent Nosferatu and its upgrade specifically improve
Nosferatu.

Nezha has Critical chains with
Theodora,
Dadao, and
Majide. To gain all three class Critical bonuses too, however, all three allies need
Myrmidon-line classes, changing both development and team roles.
Hit is more flexible. When
Leda uses high-might, low-Hit
War Bow,
Mu,
Guzran, and later
Dante can help accuracy.
Peter using
Longbow with
Deadeye reaches far but suffers a Hit penalty. Two allies providing
Hunter-line class bonuses restore 20 Hit. Before activating an expensive Blessing, check whether nearby teammates can move adjacent.
Chains give Attack Speed; flying support gives Avoid
Attack Speed comes from Chain Bonuses, not class Support.
Tialla gets 1 Attack Speed each from
Cai and
Peter.
Esmeralda benefits from
Diego and
Kiroc, while
Sirocco has
Olympia,
Dante, and
Sha Lan.
These benefits start at Bond Level two. Early Attack Speed totals are low, so one or two points can change follow-up outcomes. One-to-two-range units can adjust positions and free adjacent tiles more easily.
For Avoid, look to flying lines. Level-five bonds grant 10 Avoid, above
Myrmidon and
Dancer’s 5.
Noctula can develop around gauntlets and Avoid.
Jester also has Avoid chains with
Dante and
Leda.
Use adjacency for damage and both defenses
Cavalry lines add 3 to both physical and magical damage.
Lilian has many physical Chain partners too. Surround her with physical-bonus allies to increase single-hit damage further.
Olympia has magical chains with
Buccar and Mu, letting her choose reliable magical damage instead of only
Nosferatu criticals.
For physical tanking, armor and
Guardian provide 3 Protection. Pair
Goliath with a
Guardian and healing-capable
Ultand for tanking, recovery, and Dodge together.
Ultand’s
Patch Up restores a little HP after adjacent allies fight, while
Pray for Safety improves their Dodge.
Against mage groups,
Yang Jie offers high HP, sustain, and healing, with relatively early recruitment on many routes. A magic class also lets him provide magical damage and Resilience bonuses to neighboring mages.
